When I started reading the article, I expected to read about proper in-house watchmaking. The article starts talking about George Daniels and Roger Smith but then it turns out 'British watchmaking' consists of some UK based microbrands churning out "high-status" £400 watches with parts bought in from (mostly) China with bog standard movements from ETA, Seiko and Seagull.
