FedEx but it was for a watch so may be different in your case.
Also.recently Royal Mail RMSD refused point blank to pay for.damage they caused to a watch during transit even though it was obvious it was damaged on their watch - quite a spiteful company to deal with
When I last looked into it, the RM policy is to insure up to declared value (so if it's £600 but you declared £500 you still have a claim up to the declared value), UNLESS you exceed the maximum value at which point their insurance goes to £0.
Whether they pay out or not is another story of course.

Did you pay for additional insurance ?
Their standard payout (Fedex) is limited to a few c/kg so pretty useless.
