I traded mine in for only 13k in 2020, which was pretty depressing. I believed they would reach classic status sooner as were so well regarded when new, naturally aspirated, manual, etc., but seem to be a bit forgotten. In the four years I had it it was overall really trouble free. It needed a carbon clan quite badly when I got it at around 40k miles, and the usual vacuum leaks sorted, but aside from that the only issue is the very common one of the front Brembos being a very poor design and would develop vibration no matter what I did. It really could do with better discs. For an NA car it also responded quite well to a remap which raised the rev limit to 8400 and 430-ish BHP (from actual 400-ish, as the claimed 414 was optimistic).
Watched the video that Chris put up. Love things like this. I have to admit I was quite sceptical when CC came about but it does seem to be a great place to buy and sell.

A good friend of mine has just bought a 911 C4S Cabriolet from CC. Loads of history in the description, and a ton of photos. He hasn't yet found anything on the car other than as described. It was a decent price too.

They don't rely on volume. Buyer beware of course, but many of the cars listed have very comprehensive histories included in the particulars. I can only speak to my friend's experience.

Some herbert, driving a van he was not used to, managed to swipe off the front bumper of our old 2011 Superb the other week, pulling into a parking space.
Right outside our front door.
He was good enough to stop and knock on the door, so his insurance stumped up, no issue.
The surprise was that our old faithful was "beyond economic repair". After some negotiations, we realised that although we probably couldn't get a direct replacement of what we had, for the money, our old girl was beginning to creak at the seams, so we settled on a sum.
And then went looking for a replacement, which we just got last week.
So we now have a much later Superb, the 2 litre TSI 4x4 Sportline.
It's lovely. Really is. The 270 hp is enough to get you going pretty quickly, but in normal settings it wafts along effortlessly, and the mpg is pretty good if you stay off the loud pedal.
And I like the way that (in normal mode) you have to prod that pedal pretty hard to get it to really react. But when it does, it goes.
Steering is ever-so-slightly remote. But you could cross continents in it with ease.
And being a Superb, 4 of you with shedloads of luggage could all make the trip in comfort.
This will probably be our last large family car (kids are 17 and 16, and we keep cars for a long time), and so far it is doing the job very well.
I gave the 930 a lot of attention recently with all new exhaust (manifolds, all associated turbo and wastegate piping, and backbox) and turbo rebuild. It wasn't lacking before, but wow is it epic now. It always surprises passengers as that turbo packs quite a kick. Now it spools quicker and breathes better, so it's really quite something. Hard to judge, but it had about 330bhp before so without taking it on the rolling road I'd guess maybe another 20-ish. It's noticeable.
Now is time for the 997 to get some love, so I've booked it in for new exhaust (again, the full thing), performance clutch and a custom setup on a rolling road. We're targeting 600-620 BHP, around 530-540 WHP, and something over 800NM torque. I actually didn't really care for the extra power, but I did want a new exhaust to improve the sound, so a tune to match it makes sense, however once we started discussing it I got pretty excite about the potential. It's just Stage 1-ish, so the car will otherwise stay standard.
I've had both about 4 years now and can't imagine ever not having them.

Great car. I had the 2017 sportline diesel (190hp) 4x4 and it put a smile on my face every time I drove it. Exchanged it for an Enyaq IV80x and while it is a decent car it just doesn’t make me smile the same way. When or if they announce an electric superb or similar size estate I’m signing up.
