    It fits! XVI content.

I've had my XVI for a while now, but when I bought it I didn't bother trying to find one on a bracelet as I knew I'd be able to find one no problem. How wrong I was! It isn't a price thing, there just aren't any available, anywhere.

So I thought I'd find a third party bracelet that fits. Easier said than done; the case is very slim and the pins sit quite close to the case, making general 'off-the-shelf' bracelets that fit very hard to find. The bracelet from the XVII and the XVIII, whilst having a common fitment, do not fit the XVI.

I was bumbling on the internet the other day looking for XVI related stuff, and I stumbled across an Instagram post whereby the owner of an XVI had successfully fitted the Uncle Straps 1035 flat link bracelet (for the older Omega Speedmaster), with a little manipulation of the end links. So I headed to Uncle's website to have a butchers.

Whilst there I noticed that the beads of rice bracelet for the SM300 also fitted the older Omega Speedmaster. Thinking it would probably then fit the XVI case, I ordered one.

It turned up today, and lo and behold, it only sodding well fits! I had to pinch closed the end links to hug the rear of the case, but other than that it just clicks straight in. Lovely!

    Have a gawps...

I don't think I'd "accidentally" find a closer fit, without procuring an original bracelet.

    Very pleased.

Lovely Rob, really like BoR bracelets. Will you stick with this, or still keep eye out for the IWC?

That looks good - well worth tracking down.

Will you let the supplier know?

I'll still look out for an original, but not fussed if I find one or not now.

I have indeed. Been chatting with Larry today, sent him a picture. He's going to add it to the compatibility list and also share it on Instagram. Hopefully someone else will find it useful.

Great to know. I’d be tempted to try the Holzer bracelet on mine, as it’s relatively close to the engineer style IWC one.

Then again, I love my XVI on a leather strap.

Looks great. I’d still try and find an IWC one but I suspect it will be hard to find.

    Looks good.

For something closer to the original, would this be worth a look?

I have no idea about the quality of the bracelet or the service of the company...

    Cheers.

I tried one of those (sitting in the parts box). Doesn't fit unfortunately.

    Wow... stunning amazing fit!

Great job and well done for taking the risky plunge.
Hearing of one working is one thing... fitting one and it looking / fitting THAT good is another kettle of fish.

    Looks brilliant.

    Thanks Gregory.

Been on my wrist all day today. I still can't believe how well it fits!
