I hate it when my watches get knocks, even if only slight. I suppose you either don't wear them or you take the risk....and they are designed to be worn. My job means they are at quite a risk of being knocked too.
I was working out at the airport yesterday with an electrical engineer, trying to locate panels for a project we're working on. At one point, my GMT took quite a knock, and there's no visible damage at all. Not even a hiccup in the movement detected either. I was also very thankful for the parachrom bleu spring in some of those electrical rooms.

Why are you wearing it for work  :?
What else am I going to wear? :P

Sounds like a lucky escape having seen the price of new bezels in that post the other day! :)

the gmtc is a bulletproof :) as are all sports rollies , i wear my current production ones all the time and they get well used bashed aroound and can take it . subs gmts SD exp2 had them all over the yrs and all of them never missed a beat .
was speaking to my AD watch maker last wk and when asked his opinion what watch should a guy buy , all he will say to potential customers is any sports rollie, it will out last you and it will be the one and only watch you will ever need . i completly agree with him apart from the bit when he said the only one :) a guy cant have enough watches :) i have had most brands out there but always come back to wearing a sub sd or gmt2 because it suits the way i live and fits right in :)
enjoy the gmt c , just wear them and bexely can fix them come service time :)

sorry to hear it took a knock but glad to hear it is still in good shape.
i got a dssd and wear it regularly.
i also had an iwc which took a small fall, slipped out of my hand and hit the floor, it took 6 weeks to get it repaired, a small screw was cracked. got a full service and a repair at no cost but was disappointed with the fragility of the watch. it was supposed to be very tough
