    How very strange

well today is quite a weird day for me, yesterday my dad went to Rehabilitation, it was a great day for all of us as we have been waiting for months for this to happen, but something that really brought a tear to my eye was the moment the pysiotherapist said he should be able to walk again, i've never felt soo happy, it was like a weight had been lifted.
Now for the first time in months i feel truly happy, i'm sitting here with the sun beating down on my face, perfect blue sky, music in my ear and i'm happy, despite not having a penny to my name, no girlfriend and no job it just doesn't seem to matter, i guess this is why people say money doesn't make you happy :)
Hope it's a good day for the rest of you,
    Andrew

That's great news Andrew, good that he's on the mend.

Were his first words "Are you home on leave already son?".

Great news Andrew, nothing in life is more important or brings more happiness then family :) Thanks for wishing us all a good day too, I am of sick today sinuses gone mad and I feel shattered. However I have a ton of paperwork chores to sort out so a day off is probably a blessing in disguise.

Glad to hear that things are on the up and up.

It's a shame that for most of us it takes a life changing event to make us fully appreciate what we have, but when things are sailing along smoothly, we take so much for granted, and let the minor irritations of everyday life piss you off.

Some times you need a good shock to re-focus about what really is important in life, and it sure aint getting a grail.

Good luck with the Army, but have you considered joining the Navy, you never know, you just might get issued a better watch

You have no idea how true that comment is to my life, the only major gripe i had before my dad got ill was deciding between a brand new Lexus GS300 or a 2 year old BMW 730D, oh and also which Breitling i was going to get next, an Emergency Mission or an Emergency at 19 i was lucky, but it took my father nearly dying 3 times to get me to realise just how lucky i was, and now i sit here with not even half the possesions i once had and i am happier than i have ever been, soo strange, but it really helps put life in perspective :D
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers you guys gave me when my dad was ill, it obviously worked a treat, and thanks for the wishes of good luck, it means alot :thumbleft:
Hope your all having a nice sunny day,
    Andrew

Glad to hear your Dad is on the mend, having an ill parent really brings home what is important. My Mum had a stroke 2 weeks ago, thankfully it was a minor one and she she should make a full recovery but suddenly there is a definite clarity of thought.

Sunny in Sunderland - are you sure? Must be a good day!! (Born in Pennywell and my family from there so tongue in cheek comment  )

    Cheers and good luck,

    Steve

Sorry, did i say sunny, i meant to say we actually had some daylight for a change today, not used to the sun up here you see :)
Now if you put a Greggs meat and potato slice and a steak bake in front of us, i can garuntee we'd be able to tell the difference without even sniffing them
Thanks for the comments guys :thumbright:

    Re: How very strange

    Hi Andrew

Glad to hear your Father is on the mend and you are feeling in a better frame of mind

Please don't do anything rash like joining up - I have advised you before that the services will be too much of a shock for you. IMO you should tke your time maybe sign up for a College course as a back up and continue trying to get a job in Civvy street.

My nineteen year old son is in a similar position to yourself and he is working in a Night club three nights a week whilst he looks for more permanent work and more importantly deciding what he wants to do with his life. Joining up would make a man of him aswell but again I know he would hate it.

All the best Andrew and I hope you experience many more 'sunny' days in the comng weeks

    Lee
