I love the 300 because of it's simple, understated yet classic design, but of the modern Seamasters I prefer my 2254.50, probably because it's an evolution of the 300
There was a Speedmaster thread up recently so why not have a one on Seamasters as well as there are plenty of them out there?
Here are some of mine
Seamaster 120 Deep Blue dial
Seamaster 300
Seamaster 120 F300
Seamster F300 Cone
Group shot
I suppose at the moment my favorite would have to be the 120 Deep Blue as it took be so long to find one, got a rather special seamaster incoming so I have a feeling my favorite is in a state of flux at the moment.
What seamasters have other forum members got?

2531/2541 Bond. The only Seamaster to become truly iconic, IMO. Had both quartz and auto and will pick up another quartz at some point.
The 2254
Would love an original 300 but don't have the money right now.
The Seamaster 120 you got there aint bad either.
Another vote for the 2531:8000 "Bond". An iconic watch quite unmistakable for anything else.
Beautiful detailing with the textured wavy dial and skeleton hands, and a wonderful "hewn from solid" quality to it.
Superb bracelet too. Have been tempted to put mine on a blue Hirsch strap but can't bring myself to remove it from what has to be one of the nicest and most comfortable bracelets out there.
Wanted one of these for years, finally got one last year. Have to say it's more than lived up to my (very high) expectations.
Here it is, can't see me ever voluntarily giving this one up, i love it.
Don't actually own one, but if I could it would probably be the SM120 it's the case shape and those markers that do it for me 8)
I like the classics a bit more because I don't see them nearly as often. Definitely not the 600 though, they are the Marmite of watches and I sit firmly in the yuck camp
I just knew, sooner or later, someone would ask this question, trust you Neal  .
OK I'm sticking to my own current collection here otherwise my head would probably just explode.

As to which is my favourite, I'm going to cheat and pick three.
Favourite mechanical Seamaster is probably the SM200 SHOM, difficult call though. Reasons? Well it just can't be mistaken for anything else, unique and large case shape and its 200m depth rating means that, unlike a lot of Seamasters, it can actually go in the sea.
Favourite battery Seamaster has to be the Chrono Quartz. Reason? Like the SHOM it can't be mistaken for anything else. The movement was never used in any other Omega or indeed any other watch before or since, so it's unique to this model. It has a plethora of timing functions, most of which I'm still learning about . Despite being effing massive, it's very comfortable on the wrist and lastly, well just look at it, how 8) can you get? However I do think this should have been part of the Speedmaster line if I'm honest, especially with the 1976 Montreal Olympics connection. It would have made a far better fit as a fore runner to the X-33.
And a last category, the prettiest Seamaster. My vote goes to the 176.007, achingly beautiful, practical size, stuffed full of features and supremely legible. The cal.1040 is one of Lemanias best imho.
Hope I haven't sent you all to sleep with that lot.
Cheers,
Gary

Another excuse to show one of my favorites
closely followed by the 2254.50

My favourites:
But if I had to choose, it would be the 120c, because it is so beautiful :)
Im a big fan of the James Bond seamaster. When i was young i was really into Bond and his gadgets and to me that watch was the pinnacle of watch making.
Would have to say my Chronostop Seamaster.
Loved this watch as a kid of 7 or 8 when my dad had one. I Used to wear it in the bath back then and I'm surprised I didn't break the stop watch function I started and stopped it that often  (needless to say this isn't the original and he can't remember what happened to it :( )
Many wonderful SMs, but the fav had got to be the Grand:
Why? Look at it! Do you really need to ask?!?
So was I - though for me, it was the one with the Rolex and the Pulsar :)Originally Posted by toohuge

Has to be a blue faced 1978 Cosmic 2000 - why?????????
Because it's what my dad bought me for my 18th birthday present

This one - was my first expensive watch. It has travelled the world with me, was the watch I was wearing when I got married and is the only one in my collection which will never be sold.
For me its the Black planet ocean. I love the look of the hands and the bezel.
My collection boasts a total of - One, but it's the one that I still love the best !
HAGWE.
Bazz.
another vote for the 2254 8) everything on it is just how I like it! ...the bezel, the font, the markers, the lume, the face, the hands all perfect imho
The one I own.
Decent size, chrono function and date, not to mention that it just simply looks nice to my eyes :)
My other faves are the flightmaster and the Shom 200
My three favourites,
/Stefan
Probably the modern electric-bling Seamaster, probably because it's the least "Omega" of the lot :). Really not bothered by any of the Bond types, TBH. The older ones are funky but there are so many quite similar designs that it's impossible to pick a "favourite" vintage one.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
Bob, that is stunning and the next grail on my list... :love4:Originally Posted by Stanford

but it should be here by next weekend...... :D
Here are the sellers photos
I get very excited just thinking out it, here's me telling somebody at my office about my new ploprof....
:D
Vintage... Just like the style and the aged trit lume.
Modern.... pretty iconic Seamaster especially for a modern watch IMO.
Cheers,
Neil.

Just the three for me (us).
I've got to say that you guys have some awesome Seamasters. I'm envious to the point of jealousy :D
Why do I love mine??? I'm not sure; they are very pleasing (IMO) to the eye, great craftmanship, easily identifiable to others (sometimes good and other times not).........
Great pictures BTW; keep em coming.
JK
Congrats on your incoming PP Neal :) , I know you have been looking for a while.
And I'm sure you are going to love it, it has so much character.
If you really want to make that D3 dial "pop" then order a Ploprof sapphire crystal from Mitch @ Ocean7, they have AR on the underside and it really makes a huge difference.
I've fitted one on my D3 PP as posted in this thread, the D1 and D2 still have the OEM mineral crystals though.

The 2220.80.00
My first really nice watch.
I love that one, never seen it before...at least not in that shape. Beautiful :P May I ask what money you have to sacrifice to get one?Originally Posted by Omegary
My favs are however the ploprof and SM120.
I think i have one, a little different Seamaster.
An titanium limited edition with a light grey dial.
And my mimi-me chronometer............

My Seamasters
My favourite changes every day. Today it's the f300, tomorrow who knows :)
2531.80 every time :)
All time classic - to me it is what the vintage Sub is to Rolex - I hope they just keep evolving this model after the newer Co-axial version.
It's just a matter of time...
Probably this one...
....but I do have a soft spot for my cal. 1040 Jedi
Think this is the best model of the many Seamaster. Why ? Dunno just is so...
i like the 2254,used to have one but got silly and sold it,also like the big vintage chrono dive watch...stunner,but for now i'll get by with this little number....
Amongst others is my 300m GMT - 2534.50 - Why? - the 2nd time zone has been very useful of late!
Ford... you're turning into a penguin. Stop it. HHGTTG
Thanks :). Megaquartz Omegas seem criminally undervalued at the mo imho, so I snagged this off the sales corner a couple of months or so back for Ģ200. Since then it's had a new crystal and a case and bracelet refinish, which makes it look pretty much as new. I love the weight and heft of this, the bracelet is incredibly thick and extremely comfortable. If I have time I'll take a few more snaps tomorrow and do a post about it.Originally Posted by Jockinho

I can't believe the people who are calling the "Bond" the iconic seamaster. The SM300 is The design classic in the seamaster range, oft imitated, it must be THE real Iconic Seamaster.
I had one as a youngster, left to me by a relative, I didn't value it, after all it was only a watch !. I wrecked it, left it rotting away in a drawer for 20 years, and then sold it for a tidy sum............... it was only then that I got sucked into the world of watches, if only I knew then what I know now :blackeye:
Some real stunners on here, please keep posting your pictures.
Hans I have never seen one of those Titanium seamasters, could you post some more pictures as it looks stunning.
Even neve, I love that early SM 300 and Toshi that ploprof is stunning,,, :D
