New arrival. My Fortis B-42 Marinemaster.

I have liked the look of the Fortis B-42 Marinemaster 200m Diver since its introduction and finally decided to buy one via a well known UK authorised dealer.

The 42mm steel case is the ideal size for me and the 44mm bezel, the nice legible dial, double A/R coating on the flat sapphire crystal and blue lume just set this watch off IMHO. This watch is water resistant to 200m but (because of past issues) does not have a screw down crown which is unusual for a modern day diver. I do know that Watchtime magazine pressure tested the B-42 (with non screw down crown) to 250m and they were rather impressed when it passed easily, so there should be no issues there.

Timekeeping is nigh on perfect at +1 second a day.

Let me know what you think.

    Some wrist shots:

The lume is not bad either:

Whilst the full lume dial version is even better in my view, this is a very nice watch - congrats.

Nice one Dave, looks like rock-solid build quality.
Not the same, but again a Marinemaster in the house :) .

    Cheers,

I love these - a real man's watch! The white-faced version is excellent too!

Sexiest toolwatch lugs out there imho! A mate has this model on a Nato, it's stunning!

Very beautiful watch! I like many Fortis models, even though unfortunately I haven't owned one yet. Enjoy!

    Great watch 8)

I've had the full lume model and the black one like yours. I'll have to get another at some point, I should never have let them go.

Like those a lot, though it is probably just too big for me, the blue lume is ultra cool on that though. :D

    Thanks for all the comments.

I am considering strap options and a Nato is an option. A nice black Toshi with red or orange stitching sounds good.
