Actually, the acrylic crystal is the bit I am having trouble with. OK, its unfamiliar to me, but I keep thinking it would look better after it gets a bit of 'wabi'. Just a first reaction... :)

By the way, Eddies retro PU/rubber strap is a sensation, but I am just in the habit of putting everything on a NATO.

What colour are those minute markers on the dial? They look gold?!

Re: PRS-50B - First owners wrist shot

It may be an optical illusion, but the 45 & 60 minute markers on the bezel don't seem to line-up with the 9 & 12 on the dial??? Anybody else noticed this? :?:

The minute markers are not gold, but closer to a light/pale orange.

I think there are a number of things going on here. First, the thickness of the crystal and the fact that it is domed does play a lot of tricks on the dial, particularly when looking from different angles. The bezel moves really beautifully (crisp clean clicks) and as far as I can tell it lines up almost perfectly on the cardinals as you rotate it. There is a tiny bit of play between the position of each click which means it is possible to leave the bezel a tiny bit out of alignment, but if it is positioned correctly it stays that way. I think in one of the photos I took (above) that I left the bezel a tiny bit out of alignment. Finally, there is simply a bit of optical illusion in some of the shots I took. :)

Re: PRS-50B - First owners wrist shot

it's a fabulous looking watch and pips it over the PRS-3, for me (a watch I had been waiting for). Especially as it has good, modern lume. The only bugbear is the acrylic - I'm a heretic, and I prefer the sapphire of the earlier "50". But then I like the dial of the new one. But then, the old one's bezel is fantastic. But then that's acrylic too...

The TF site says the sapphire crystal can be fitted to the 50B (and the acrylic fitted to the 50). Anyone know how much a sapphire crystal costs...?
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

Is this a non-LE batch then, as I guess a second batch will have the same movements?

As most of these seem to have gone to our friends in Europe can I ask if anyone in the UK has received a shipping notification from Eddie?

Placed my order on Saturday received order conformation from Eddie and separate notification from Sagepay. Since then nothing.

I fully appreciate that Eddie must be very busy, but should I start worrying!?!?

Have I gone missing in the system?

I would think you should start worrying very much.....

You will appreciate it much more if it ever arrives.....

Else just be a bit patient, good things happen to... I am sure Eddie is still busy, packing up 50 of them does not happen at once.

I just hope mine arrives soon.
I've already had it with the British postal system. My sponsorship form for Ascot was sent to me 1st class earlier this month postmarked 1st June and it finally arrived on my doorstep on the 12th!!
The closing date for applications was the 8th BTW

This is very lovely indeed. Eddie, any chance you could get them to drill a hole in the dial somewhere between the 4 and the 5 on the next batch (I think I know the answer to this one)?

I can't afford to buy a newpaper every day and the ink gets everywhere. Not convinced it would have ruined the aesthetics of this one but it is beautiful.

Re: PRS-50B - First owners wrist shot

Just popped mine on. Looks good, although not quite what I was expecting - there's a lot of space under the crystal. I know it's a hommage rather than a clone, but on most of the FFs I've ssen, the rehaut looks shallower. Much as I love acrylic crystals, I do wonder how it would look with a sapphire - I don't suppose anyone would be able to do some side by side shots of a 50 and a 50B when they have a moment, maybe?

Thanks, everybody. Saw the pic on the website already. But the luminova looks there a liitle bit spotted or uneven applied.
Prototype or bad pic ?? So I wanted a pic of serial model.

    Overall great watch. Congrats Eddie!!!!
This would be the matching partner for my trusted PRS-50 (A)
