You can have my fridge...useless bloody thing just keeps making its own ice even though it's not supposed to....must find that warranty
Has anyone got one of these ice making machines?
I'm in the process of getting my kitchen refitted and
my current fridge is enormous so it has to go, i have
bought a fridge with no freezer compartment as i only
ever use ice from the freezer so i've decided to go for
a "ice making machine". So any advice from someone
who has one would be great or pointers of which model
to go for :)
This is the one i have been looking at on Amazon.

You want to make ice cream Alex?
You are one sick, sick, sick man mate!
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
Ask one serious question and look what happens!
not sure on the ice maker alex, i know they draw a lot of electric (well, they do on board ship) might be more economic in the long run to just have a fridge with a small freezer compartment?
cheers
mike

Just a thought - are these machines designed to store ice, as well as make it?
Just a thought about this in terms of how you intend to use it. I had my heart set on a Cuisinart ice cream maker a few years back but it turns out that because of the refrigerants it needs to be stationary for 24 hours prior to use. I did not want to have to rely on needing 24 hours notice to make ice cream and neither could I afford to have a seldomly-used contraption permanently taking up valuable kitchen-top space. I can see that an ice machine is going to be used more regularly (and you may have a bigger kitchen) so this may not be an issue for you.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
A girl i know has a fridge with an ice maker on it, she loves it, but i hate it!!! the ice comes out with all kinds of shit on it sits in the drawer forever and a day accumulating shite from your freezer yuk!!!!!
Wouldn't be my choice matey, but thats just personall experience, i buy the bags of party ice for a £1 from asda personally :)
Thanks,
Andrew
