WOW is the word, fantastic write-up and pics, MANY THANKS! :D
Bloody brilliant that they let you have a mosey round and snap away. Round of applause for Omega methinks.
Last week whilst I was in Switzerland, I was able to arrange an appointment at the Omega Museum in Bienne. I had been emailing Omega prior to my trip to make some enquiries about a tour...no tours but they have the museum was what I was told.
I must thank Peter at the museum for making my visit possible last friday.

Very interesting post, and some nice photos
Thanks for posting and I'm extremely jealous as they were shut for stocktaking last time I had the opportunity. Great photos 8) .
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

Brilliant pictures, I've left a pool of drool on my desk now

Ralph Waldo Emerson: We ask for long life, but 'tis deep life, or noble moments that signify. Let the measure of time be spiritual, not mechanical.
If I get time, I may do a similar with pics post on here if people wish
Thanks sunster! very interesting. Excellent pictures too :)

Fantastic and fascinating, thank you so much for posting :thumbright: . I really must go there one day.
Cheers,

Absolutely fantastic post, and some really nice pictures. Got to get myself there at some point, and maybe take the collection with me to photo next to their pieces.
Thanks for posting this.
Some nice stuff there.
Always nice to see the beautiful Omega, that belonged to "El Aurens" again.
A watch I have not seen in the tours, that others have posted, was the 1902 lefty with roman numerals. What is not to like about that one! (okay, so I would like a lug width of more than 2mm  ).
What a stonking post :thumbright:
I was interested in the Omega's at the GTG in Chessington which I found fascinating, but this is taking it to another level. Thank you.
Great post... Very many thanks.
Have you noticed that all the watches show virtually the same time.. 10:08 37secs
Fantastic! Wonderful photos and an excellent write up
Ian :D
I've often wondered what the museum would be like :)
Thanks for sharing the trip with us all and taking some wonderful photos.
Personally I'd never seen a Seamaster "Recife" before your photos.
I have to ask though...
how many more Omegas are on the "must own" list now :)
Excellent stuff -thanks for posting!
Thank you. Very interesting post!
I know...the tour has ignited the desire to own a vintage Omega..maybe a speedyOriginally Posted by Relativity
Actually if you also look at any advert Omega has, they all show the same time.....and always the date is 8th.Originally Posted by John Wall

Very interesting post and pics.
Thanks for posting. :)

I went through my Omegamania catalogue last night and noted alot of the same collection in it.
Going through all the historical pictures of Omega ads etc...all watches read the same time...10.08 on the 8th. Must be company policy now and not just superstition
That's because Omega bought a lot of the stuff themselves.Originally Posted by sunster
Hope they didn't buy any of the dodgy SM300's in the sale though.

Yea I was wondering that after going through the auction book. They certainly paid big money for them anyway!Originally Posted by Neil.C
