Yes most exciting Timefactors watch in for me as well but wasn't Eddie mentioning the
Hands? Perhaps after shipping of all the PRS-3s he can let us know if things are moving?
( I know that this question demands a simple but perhaps Eddie is in a good weekend mood?)

Still waiting to hear if there is an LE version and a Standard...

A truly rare beast then.........
There was a picture that someone had created in photoshop. It was a 1016 Explorer with a Precista logo pasted over the word Rolex. Not an official mock-up.
I saved it to my hard drive, but I'm unhappy about posting someone else's material. However, PM me and I'll email it to you.
EDIT: Am I correct in remembering that this will be a 38mm watch on a 22mm bracelet? (Are these dimensions final, or just speculation?)
38mm on a 22mm bracelet... that will be a bid oddddd
Not really, the original was 35mm on a 20mm bracelet, the Vanguard is planned at 22mm on a 38.5mm watch: do the math.Originally Posted by jtbold

That will look right IMHO. The only problem I had with the Vantage I sold recently is that the lugs were a bit too heavy, that was 20mm on a 39mm watch, that needed to be 22mm if you ask me.Originally Posted by swanbourne

Personally, I can't help but think that a 22mm bracelet would look a little bit heavy on a dress watch.
I'd prefer it at 36mm dia. with a 20mm bracelet, but that's just me. (I have to hold my hand up and state that I don't own a single Timefactors watch, so I am not qualified to criticize. . . of course, if I'd bought less Seikos recently I'd be wearing a '53 right now!)
Having said that, I wholeheartedly support the philosophy of homages that advance the original design, rather than steal them, so I can see where Eddie is coming from here. This is about a 1016-inspired watch rather than a fake Rolex.
Like everyone else, I’m looking forward to this one.
Is there any images or drawings on this project?
Good thing this is not a dress watch.Originally Posted by Shambles

Which probably explains why I'd prefer smaller dimensions. . . but I'm happy to be in a minority of one, here.
So, not only am I answering my own posting - I'm actually arguing with myself, here. (I think it's time for me to go and lie down in a darkned room.)
I was shooting my mouth off about the 22mm bracelet, without having given the subject any thought - hey, I could start a fight in an empty church. So I figured I'd do the obvious thing and actually look at a bracelet of that size and see if I could live with it on a 38mm, 1016-Explorer-type watch. And yes, it works!
Well, the nearest I had was an old 36mm Seiko 7005-8027. . . a little small, and with 18mm lugs, but at least with a black dial and a domed crystal. I held a horrible bracelet I had removed from a SKX031 (for being crap) against it for possibly the most bizarre watch photos ever posted here:
So, yes, I would very much like a Vantage. . . and a Smiths W10, of course. You could be first and second onto Everest with those two. (Yes, I think I do need to lie down in a darkened room.)
Just dont tell anybody else ;) Good sample, and I am very much looking forward -
although Eddie seems to have the Smith on the priority-list first.

Unfortunately every project seems to be on the priority-list first respect to the Vanguard ... :cry:Originally Posted by walkuere

22mm lug width is fine. 34mm dress oyster date models had a lug width of 19mm. This Seiko model of 38.5-39mm diameter has lug width of 22mm. works very nicely.

Eddie,
I'm curious about the bracelet. Will it taper to 20 mm or 18mm at the clasp?
Any plans for an alternate dial color version?
Great project. I'm looking forward to it.

I hope it will taper to 18 mm ... :roll:Originally Posted by goz211

No, I can't afford the movements yet, too many projects on the go at the same time and too much cash out in up-front payments.Originally Posted by mr1973
