Great looker Stu. What is the quality of the finish like on the Zeno I've been fancying the Airplane diver.
Picked this up just before christmas and have actually decided to download my camera, great watch and pretty blingy.

Absolutely spot on and cannot fault it, i have another Zeno pilot watch and both are really good watches.
Stu.
Could I ask how it wears? looks big. Thanks
It is just fine for me but then so is the Seiko Monster and i love em both.
Stu.
They're only just 40mm diameter, so seem small compared to a lot of divers.
They wear tall, though :
Jim :)
anyone beadblasted one of these bad boys?
Someone has, I've seen pictures in the past but can't remember whose it was. Looked good, though.Originally Posted by CPF

Thanks a lot mate, looks the mutt's IMO. It's playing on my mind now... May be the answer to my small diver question!
I have been thinking of having my orange dial Army Diver bead blasted. I love the watch, but on every strap and bracelet I have tried it just is a tad too blingy. Trouble is, I know if I send it out then I will be tempted to have it modified a bit too, and watch the bill go up, up, up.
On bracelet:
On Tropic strap (very comfortable, but shows too much of the lug space)
On Lone Star mesh (same as Tropic, though I do love the combo)
Cheers,
Griff
I'm liking the mesh a lot!Originally Posted by zippofan

Nice watch. Not blast it and change those hands to NABO.
Love the Army Diver. perfect choice.
That I do Like!!!Originally Posted by Jim:

A great watch and a Zeno classic. I had one of these and liked it a lot.
Great looking diver, I would definetly consider the blasting :D
Good morning from Germany,
my retro diver was in the parcel I just received. It is a little bit bling bling but not too much. No beadblast, please.
that's certainly a looker! i've always been a fan of 4:00 dates--there's a bit of elegance in the asymmetry, IMO.Originally Posted by stu65
Never been a fan of these sorry !
Love it! I've got the army diver GMT seahunter, limited to 100 pieces i think, got the Airplane diver too but the army diver is still my fave
I love the height and the thicknes of the bezel of Zeno watches.
I also got my Zeno army diver from Eddie. This watch has got some great reviews and has a great build quality, as I understand with an old movement (that may have been the Doxa, thining about it with the old movements). The domed crystal kept catching things e.g. door frames, when one was wearing it. Nevertheless a great watch for the money. Rgds John
I'm wearing mine today, and have been all week. So it'll be going on the Friday thread later...
Great watch, had it about six years now.
Jim
Nice watch and nice pictures...

Jim :)
I've never paid any interest to Zeno before, but I really like the retro look of this.
If I wanted to pick one up how much would it cost and from where could I buy one (pref. UK)?
Review is here: http://www.watcharama.com/zeno300.htm and one for sale on uk eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from= ... Categories
I had one of these for a long time and it's a lot of watch for the money.
Managed to pick up two this week.... not intentional but got offered one when talking through the deal on another and ended up saying yes to both.
James thats just greedy !!! :DOriginally Posted by James.uk

i know. I will probably move one of them on but i'm gonna get some spare crystals and bezels first.
Can I ask why ? They both look OK to me :) I've got my bead blasted one on just now and my insert is nowhere as good as yours and my crown only turns one full turn :DOriginally Posted by James.uk

Hi James. Where are you going to get those from, please?Originally Posted by James.uk

The green nato one is a minter... its a keeper. The black nato has some marks to the bezel and a flat spot in the crystal. Not worth doing really but i though i would get some spares in as i have the Orange dial version too. Bound to need a crystal one day [and a bezel for the black one] so why not get some extra ones?
Be good to sell the 'not so mint one' with spare crystal and inset i think.
James.
Sorry Jim, didnt answer your questions... I missed the Modded one. Thats what made me look for another [and end up getting two].
Parts coming from Zeno.
Thanks James.
Are Zeno happy to sell parts to customers rather than insist on doing the work themselves?
Ta,
Jim
Jim, the flat spot on the crystal is very common to these Zeno's, I cant find the thread but we discussed this a little while ago.

Yes, I remember it was part of the "modded Zeno diver" thread.Originally Posted by WORKSIMON
Mine isn't so noticable, but it makes me wonde if you can order a spare with no flat spot at all.
Jim
my orange and my 'mint' black dial have no flat spots.
Ooh, I think I've got flat spot envy, now....
Jim :D
Just what i was thinking, is you orange one flatted ?Originally Posted by Jim:

Mine? I don't have an orange one, just a black one.Originally Posted by WORKSIMON

This is the same watch. You have to know the flat spot is there and look hard to be able to see it.
