    Ti Samurai - Plongeured

Been meaning to do this for ages, ever since I realised that my wife never wears the Samurai I bought her a few years ago. I've always liked the way Plongeurs set off the chrome indices and second hand on those Certina DS conversions that have been done in the past, so I wondered what the Samurai dial would look like.

I must say, I'm mighty smitten by the result :

Like the hands but why keep the original second hand rather than replace it?

I thought it would be more subtle that way, retaining the chrome of the seconds hand to go with the chrome of the indices.

Been thinking for some time about doing something similar with my Orange one. I think they would look really good with a domed saphire crystal to top it off.

Although I much prefer the original handset, this still works .. although 'chromed' plongeur hands would be even better!

I would have changed the secondhand too though, but can understand why you decided not to.

I think these are about the only original hands set on a Seiko that does not look to big for the dial although the Plo hands always look great. 8)

still one of the nicest Seikos . Not sure of either hand set to be honest ! I would love to see a red tipped second hand with standard hour and min

That looks interesting, but I think I prefer the original ones. May be some MM300 hands, which donīt have the arrowhead tips.

I think the new hand gives some more character to the watch..

That looks so much better than the original hands, I agree that you should have changed the second hand as well though. Excellent mod, makes your watch a little more unique.

Daring of you to try! I love the originals though. At least on the Ti Sammi. I'm a believer in keeping chrome on chrome.

I like that mod! IMHO the plongeur minute hand goes very well with the angular case...

Adds a much more "tool" feel to the watch. Agree with those who would have changed the second hand as well. Good looking mod.

+1 on the chrome plongeur hands. Looks good to me despite the fact that I like the original hands on the titanium Sammies a lot.
