I've got a drawer full of dozens of pairs that I never wear. I prefer silk knots these days.

Re: Cufflinks - Lets See What You Got!

I would love to own an expensive pair, but cufflinks seem to be the one thing that I leave behind, drop, lose, leave on my desk, put in my bag etc, etc...

As a consequence, I haven't progressed beyond Marks and Spencers 'Paul Smith' lookalikeys...

Went into Omega in The Royal Exchange the other day to see what their cufflinks were like.

Took a shine to these Seamaster ones http://www.omega.ch/index.php?id=115...=55&no_cache=1

But made a swift exit on hearing the price - £170.

Back to the silk knots for me  Doesn't matter if you lose a few here and there.

liking the watch ones - different! I've done well at weddings recently, a pair of Paul Smith from good friend and some Hugo Boss ones last month from my sister!

Are WISs not nervous that metal cufflinks will scratch their watches?

Missing the other Guinness one at the front.

I particularly like the pill-box ones (unscrewed) and the hammer and saw ones, which were a gift from work (where I am an orthopaedic surgeon)

Re: Cufflinks - Lets See What You Got!

I've always hated wearing metal cufflinks with a watch. Everytime stainless steel touches stainles steel I can't help but wince!

Prefer simple silk knots, but my favourite pair is my old college coat of arms. Prefer cufflinks to have a personal meaning rather than random objects / shapes.

I have these, all antique or vintage and all silver. I´ve never worn cufflinks in my life, don´t know why I collected them.

Re: Cufflinks - Lets See What You Got!

I had a pair of those guinness cufflinks some years back and a small guinnes keyring knife - I have just demolished half the house looking for them to no avail.

I bet that woman has thrown them in the garage or something.

    Tut !!

Lots, but these get worn most

    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

I rotate two pairs, one pair of solid silver lumps that my folks got me for graduating, another that I got for christmas a couple of years ago. I like the ones I've got so much I never saw the need inbuying other ones.

Re: Cufflinks - Lets See What You Got!

Have several pairs but usually just wear one of my two pairs of decent (solid silver) chainlinks. I find the solid bar links make my cuffs uncomfortably tight over the larger watches I tend to wear these days.

I don't have pics, but as they are pretty discrete / non-descript I just can’t be arsed to photograph them.

Re: Cufflinks - Lets See What You Got!

As I have cufflinks spread across three European cities this will be only the first post.

These were a Christmas present from my mother - bought in Weirs of Grafton Street.

These from the Kilkenny Design Centre

And these from the Design Yard in East Essex Street

These from the gift shop in the Ethnology Museum in Sofia

These from a silversmith in Beyoglu in Istanbul

And these from the Anitkabir; Ataturk's mausoleum in Ankara. On reflection there is a resemblance to Putin.

A pair of Norwegian 5 Ore coins bought in the Forsvarsmuseet in Oslo

These are from a rather decrepit Light Infantry cross belt that I had hoped to restore. It disintegrated but the studs make great links.

A pair of RAOC links I have had for years

And a cheap brass pair with a Royal Cypher

The best until last. A silver pair from Longmire in St James'
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
