Excited Newbie!

Yet another newbie intro all......

My name's Ian, I live in the South West and am new to the watch scene. I was bought a Tag Heuer 2000 Professional for my 18th (yep I know thats some years ago now!) and have enjoyed time-pieces since. That said, I have never really been in a financially sound position to start scratching the watch urge - having to resort to watching and dreaming. I was made aware of TZ-UK by a friend who bought me a PRS 17Q (soon to have to go up for sale) and have been looking periodically at the site since!

I have personally always liked the Omega Seamster range and following the passing of both my grandparents it was an hankering that resurfaced. That, and the combination of my 6 month old son Harry being born, made me think that a good momento of my grandparents (and a future hand me down for Harry!) would be that Seamaster!

I have been looking on here for a while and recently an immaculate Omega Seamaster Chrono Diver popped up for sale and I couldn't resist! So.....my deposit has been made and I am soon to take ownership of a long standing dream. I know this doesn't come close to some of you on here - but we all have to start somewhere (I have a strong feeling this is just the start of this!!)

I've had a Seamaster Planet Ocean since Casino Royale came out and I must say as a daily beater, nothing comes close... except maybe the Seiko MM. Good luck! :-)

I've got a SMP Chrono, it's one watch I would not be without! I have bought an sold a lot of watches since joining this site but I will always have one in my collection :)

Congrats on the purchase. I used my seamaster as a daily wear for a couple of years. They look equally good with a suit and tie or jeans and t-shirt. All time classic design in my opinion. Enjoy your new purchase.
