Welton, close enough?. And i work in Hull.
harrogate....too far for a pint.
I live in Normanton (West Yorks) but I could be persuaded to venture to Hull. I get over occasionally to the Theatre (Hull Truck) and I`ve bought stuff from Fanthorpes Hi-fi shop. Pressed my nose against Blowers' window a couple of times but never bought anything.
Had the odd trip over to watch the rugby when Wakefield are playing. I reckon it's an OK place....just don`t call the locals CODHEADS :D :D :D

I'm on the other side of the water m8, New Waltham near Grimsby
originally from West yorks.
Centre of Hull for me, Orlando this week though! :)
Live in Manchester now, but live in Hull for 5 years when I was at uni. Cott Road, Ryde Street, Falmouth Street, Cott Road again, and Hull Marina... Even worked at Arco for a while, I occasionally make it back so tell me a date and I'll see where I am
i live in sheffield but went to hull on tuesday working, and had a look at a couple of pams in blowers, bit of an alladins cave that shop, some stunning watches,u could soon go broke in there!
Would somewhere nearer to West Yorkshire be better? You could get people from Manchester area too. I have recently joined the forum and would be pleased to meet with other members.

it was more just out of curiosity and maybe for an informal pint and a watch mooch. i have met one member on here who is local to me - hi pcworks (rob) and done a couple of deals and just wondered if there are enough to merit a decent pub sesh!

I don't think people realise what they are missing by not trying the Hull delicacy of Patty and chips (preferably covered in beans :D ). I mean Melton Mowbray has the pork pie, Lincolnshire and Cumberland have their sausages, but all fail against the mighty Hull Patty. To those who have never had the delightful experience, it is smooth mashed potato, mixed with sage, thyme and then coated in batter and deep fried. But I must admit Bob Carver's of Hull does a very good bread-crumbed patty that, but the chips are poor.
There is a good chip shop next door to Blower's shop, I suspect they would want a load of hairy-arsed watch fans getting chip grease all over the Pateks and Panerais, :(
how do rob. the speedy has hardly been off my wrist! let me n know when you tire of the '69ish omega.....
