My enthusiasm for their 60s and early - mid 70s watches remains, and I still own a few from late 90s/ early noughties, but they’re so far removed from the current stuff that any brand empathy is totally lost.
When are they going to stop banging on about the moon thing? Surely they've squeezed the last drops out of the lemon? Also time they stopped using James Bond ( who’s actually a fictitious character) as a brand ambassador.
Maybe the wannabe spacemen and Special Agents will disagree?........maybe I’m in a minority,
I grew out of all that stuff it at the age of 8 so I find it hard to relate to any of it. I don’t care whether a Speedmaster went to the moon or Brighton beach, it’s just another bloody watch that should be judged on its merits.
