You could, though you won´t plausibly be having a shot of making your money back and maybe a profit on an SM...you´ll only have a watch to enjoy not the added value of the equivalent of also a ticket in a raffle*.

    * I only went with raffle having taken on board the Rolex CEO´s comment that it´s dangerous to think of their watches as investments.

Obviously none of this is in any way directed or personal, and it´s humorously, kindly meant.

A recent thread "Why my Invicta Pro Diver is a better watch than the Rolex SD, and will one day be worth more" created a surge of thermal bloviation sufficient to power Barnsley for a month. Behavioural psychologists specialising in watch twat studies are currently collaborating with clean energy researchers to develop even more powerful Rolex-based s***posts. A recent experimental thread planted by undercover scientists on Watchuseek using the handle "OGRolexBro" and entitled "Jealous paupers hate my Root Beer because they will never own one" has already generated such intense heat that it is theorised it could be utilised to kickstart a nuclear fusion reactor. We live in very exciting times."
Wow love that, how strange humanity is or is this just a male trait?

I'm one of those who obsesses over timekeeping and I expect watches to perform within their stated spec. Good timekeeping is one of the reasons to spend more on a mechanical watch imo.
But if time keeping is the most important part of wearing a watch, then we all should be wearing G Shocks, far more accurate then any other watch I've owned?

Not sure about that, they go for twice as much often on ebay than you'd pay on aliexpress sale day with coupons, topcashback etc, but I know what you mean P.
Yes, same as you, all meant in humour.
By the way, do Rolex do topcashback? ;)

I was going to say that we can't do that because they aren't expensive / collectible / twatty enough to satisfy us watch nerds. Then I remembered you can spend £5,700 on a 40th anniversary MRG-B2000SG-1ADR. Definitely worth it though as "This symbolism of strength and functional beauty is equally true of the samurai warrior’s kabuto helmet....the bezel captures the maedate crest with a ferocious tiger design". It's surely only my own ignorance that makes it look pretty similar to the ones that cost £200.

    Let's be honest, it's blokes isn't it?

[sexism] If we were all female watch nerds on the forum then we'd only post about how great each others watches look, then busily PM each other about who's got a fake, whose watch doesn't suit them and makes them look a proper tart, etc. [/sexism]
