Just FYI, I had a broken manual Hamilton Khaki repaired and serviced in June 2022 by the Hamilton/Swatch service centre in Southampton for £170.

Quick Q for the technical folk.
I have a Hamilton Khaki Mechanical, about three years old so out of warranty.
It doesn’t wind. If you turn the crown, it moves with no resistance or sound etc.
My thoughts are that, if it needed a full service, it isn’t worth it given cost vs sourcing a replacement.
However, if it’s just the stem or something similar, is it easy and cheap to fix and who would you recommend?

If a watchmaker has to take the back off to replace the stem and crown, why not have a service at the same time from in independent?
Walkerwek1958’s work is very good and very reasonable too.
I guess it’s £150-200 service vs sourcing a used replacement for £250-275. Doesn’t seem worth it to me.
I've just sent my hamilton face to face back to hamilton for the very same reason. Mine is under warranty do see what they say

Should be an easy fix, if it’s a broken mainspring it can be replaced without fully stripping the watch down and cost could be kept to a minimum.
PM me if interested.
