    Counterfeit Grand Seiko on eBay.

I was looking at a few watches on ebay and came across this really bad fake:
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266822430...Bk9SR5zM5MfzYw

I've reported it on ebay but they refuse to take it down. The seller has very good feedback (1000+), yet they sell fake watches. The movement looks so bad compared to the real thing which makes it so obvious. I feel bad for the people bidding on this watch.

At least it's got a genuine Seiko movement in it, albeit about fifty quids worth of NH39 with a fake GS rotor.

Don’t be mean now when it’s his deceased daddy’s watch. You can’t have better provenance than that.

When did you report it OP? I've found them quite responsive in the past. Anyway I've also done so, you'd hope that a volume of reports makes a difference.

Listing has ended but not deleted.

Going by the other stuff he is selling he might be a member here. 🤔

It's gone now, probably to be relisted...

If the price crossed £1500, would it have gone through the authentication service? I suspect not but am curious.

You all probably got the same message from eBay but here is the decision.

Thanks again for reporting the problematic content you found.

    What happened:
We looked into your report and removed the content. It may take up to 24 hours for it to reflect on the site. This determination was made by a customer service agent.

We let the content uploader know about this decision and the action taken. They may have the option to fix the content to make it visible again on site. They can also appeal our decision, and we'll review the case again and may reverse the original decision and action taken.

If you reported content that isn’t included in the below reference ID, we’ll send a separate email once we’ve made a decision.

It was reported yesterday at around 6pm, clearly stating it was counterfeit. They responded by saying its not against their policy.

(Had to repost as my original post was accidentally deleted)

Yep, that's correct. They'd (hopefully) have spotted its dodginess.
