    London Marathon

Went to see my son James in the London Marathon yesterday. We waited at the 23 mile mark and he came jogging by with a big smile on his face. I was standing by the barrier and high fived him as he went by.

    Bloody proud Dad!!

Hi Spudders, it was 4 hours 48 minutes 07 seconds. Not bad considering the amount of time they have to walk at the beginning. He said he was ok on Monday, but was suffering on Tuesday.

Good stuff, it's an amazing feeling to finish your first marathon. I swore I'd never do it again after I ran it, done it 3 times now :)

400 miles!! He only needed to do 26!

Well done to you Spudders on your 3 marathons, were you running last Sunday?

Thanks Tom, no I just went up to watch and support a friend this time, I was supposed to be running it but I pulled out a few weeks ago as I've had a tough last six months and have done more eating than training. I deferred my place to next year which will probably be the last time I run it
