    Tudor Pelagos - Guidance please!

I'm considering possibly selling a few pieces to fund one of these (or maybe another similar diver)

My first considerartion is if the size of the Pelagos would be ok for me?....I have a 6.5" wrist and have happily worn a 42mm Planet Ocean in the past and currently a full-size Seamaster (2254) I also wear a Fortis B42 (non chrono) but, with lug to lug of approx 52mm and bezel diameter of approx 44mm I couldn't go bigger!

I'd welcome input on the above please and any additional comments.

    Thanks in advance.

Great watches. I'm really impressed with mine, and it wears fine size wise.
It's just a matter of time...

Try it on. I have skinny wrists as well, tried it on and looks great.

My wrist is just under 7 1/4" and it is a good fit.

I just calipered mine, it is a shade under 49mm from lug tip to lug tip.

Here's my take on the Pelagos

The strap in that review is one of Eddie's retro rubbers, but it is now on a Bonetto Rubber.

    Nato is also good.

In fact it is all good.

That would be ideal, but don't Rolex AD's have to get them in to order?....anyone in the West Berks area with one I could try?

Eddie's retro has made me decide to try a Bonneto strap, rather than splash on the new Isofrane.
As for size, I will do a wrist shot, but it wears fine on me, and my wrist is somewhere just under 7 1/4".. Near perfect in fact, and wears considerably smaller than my Fortis B42.

Thanks for the link Dave....the bit in bold particularly useful to me ....must see if I can find one to try.

I have a Fortis B42 Chrono and the bezel actually overhangs the case slightly making it probably closer to 44mm diameter. I too have skinny wrists (about 6 1/4") and I just about get away with the Fortis due to the angled shoulders.

You should have a look at the shoulders on the Pelagos to see what they are like.

My B42 was the Ti Lemania 5100 LE (now sold). The bezel on that was a full 44mm and a bit, The Pelagos under 43mm. The bezel on the Fortis almost totally flat, Pelagos sloped outwards. The Pelagos lugs flare to the case more completely. And the Fortis crown (and pushers on mine) were enormous (although unguarded).

All making the Tudor smaller on the wrist.

I wouldn't worry about the size. It's a wonderful watch and I love the sound of the bezel! The bezel sound is addictive...

Edit. I sold mine, and now i'm looking for one...again...

I believe that you will find the pelagos perfect for the smaller wrist.

I also have the same skinny wrist syndrome and find the pelagos perfect.

The reason being is where the strap joins the lugs the bracelet ends are perfectly aligned vertically so it ends up looking flush to the case. Not like the PO where the bracelet still flares out beyond the end of the lugs making the watch appear wider.

Perfect watch ideally designed for skinny wrists in my opinion and the strap clasp allows the micro adjustment to fit.

    Cheers

I really like the look of these. Whats the RRP and where can you get them in the UK?
