I have a Samsung, so I'll probably never get it
The latest OS from Android.
Seems I was one of the first to get the update a few days ago.
This is quite a major upgrade compared to past ones - lots of colour, neat little changes and effects. The new keyboard is very good...not sure how, but it just seems to work better!
At first, I'm not sure if I was imagining it but it was slightly slow to respond to certain button touches (I have a Nexus 4)...but it's been fine since then.
They seem to have forgotten the 'Silent' option though?!
It may have just encouraged me to hold off switching to an Iphone for a few more weeks.
Anyone else got it yet and have any thoughts?

I've had it on my Nexus 5 for a few days.
Meh.
I prefer the font spacing on the older version. The bigger icons seem a bit fisher price. I don't like having to pull down the top menu twice to get into wifi, and my old gesture that unlocked my screen now opens the phone dialler.
I got it on my Nexus 7 on Monday night. Haven't seen any difference at all; it looks exactly the same, but I haven't dug deeply into it. The Nexus is an excellent little tablet anyway. It just works.
I have had it for a few days on Nexus 5 and (2012) Nexus 7.
A big step forward in my view and this will also keep me away from an iphone /ipad for the foreseeable future.
I'm about to place a pre-order for the new Nexus 6 and am contemplating a Nexus 9 (despite the negative reviews!).
I think that it won't show up in Cyanogenmod until the new year. What I'm interested in is whether claims about it requiring fewer resources and improving energy efficiency are realized.
Best wishes,
Bob
tablet updated to it this morning, didn't spot any massive changes yet but hopefully that's a good thing as i prefer gradual progression rahter than wheel reinvention!
Happened last night to my Nexus 7... Now the one and only 'app' I use it for doesn't work... :-(
Sounds like a lot of the APIs are broken, so I won't be upgrading for the moment.

I thought my HTC One M8 was upgrading last night only to find it was doing that certainly, but to 4.4.4 - full cream KitKat. I'll have to wait a while yet to lick the lolly.
I just realised I've broken my own rule and accepted a release/adopted latest technology as soon as it came out. I didn't think to do otherwise when the update prompt came through. Android OS updates are usually seamless.
As it goes, the bugs mentioned in the link are accurate but they are not showstoppers and there's nothing else that I've noticed that has been an issue. No big deals basically.
I have a google nexus 10 and really not liking this new update:
- Have to swipe up and then enter pattern to login
- No longer able to swipe on left for messages and right for settings, they are now combined
- Cant logoff user by hitting thier picture, have to use power button
- The 3 navigation images at bottom have changed
These are changes in the way the GUI works, rather than new functionality. Users hate this kind of thing... if it aint broke don't fix it.
