New Pulsar Chrono - anyone got one?

I stumbled upon this by accident and immediately didn't like it. However the more I look at it the more it's growing on me.

Anyone got one? What do you think? How is the textured dial in real life? Does it wear large?

    Cheers,

    David

I never understand why they mess with a classic state with things like odd textures and splashes of colour which surely limit the versatility of the watch. Still, it would be a boring world if we only stuck to the classic designs I guess...

Seems very reasonable - I think it's a bit big for me, too, but am sure it'll be a well-received xmas gift by many. thanks for the info.

That does look good, but dont think I would be able to live with the strap- anyone know the lug width? On a smart bracelet that would make for a great sub £100 beater!

I almost got one of these - but somehow it didn't impress me as much in the flesh as it did on the pictures. Shame because I wanted to like it. It does look a bit cheap in reality.

They also have it on a stainless steel bracelet. (The yellow bits are painted pale blue on these)

Its always worth trawling the Argos site and their Outlet site on eBay.

    They have this > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pulsar-Men...item4d20de9903

    And this >>>> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Accurist-M...item540ce6b384

    And this >> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pulsar-Men...item4d1989334d

Recently they also disposed of Hanowa Swiss Military quartz watches at around £25 each - most of them are now back on eBay through private sellers at £50-£80!

*The Pulsar that was the subject of this thread has normally been at £49.99 and was briefly offered at £10 extra on a non-sale period.

The other one to watch for is the Rotary "Breitling homage" which can be priced at anything from £100 down to £49.99 if you choose the right day.

The Citizen "Blue dial Eco-drive divers chrono" is also currently half price at £100 http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/2262822.htm

    Some bargains to be had

I prefer the smaller, more classic looking Pulsar

The original military version had shockingly poor like, hopefully this version will be better.

That is almost perfect but for the green numerals - are they that green in real life? Also the hands look slightly undersized?

I thought for the price I'd give this a go. Actually pleasantly surprised! It's a well thought out quality timepiece! Took a snap with my Seiko SNDA57
