Advice needed one for the mountain bikers....

Looking to upgrade my forks on a Boardman Team R. 18in
I know the steerer is tapered but thats about it.
Ive got the chance of buying a set of these...
    Fox 32 Float RL FIT 150 15QR Tapered 1.5"
183mm steerer length not sure if they sound too short.
Does anyone know if they will fit? Is it ok to put a fork with longer travel on.
Ive tried googling for some kind of spec but cant seem to find any.
    Thanks in advance

You need to measure your steerer tbh...

An approx measurement can be take with your current forks in situ

I've no idea if they'll fit but the question I would have is why do you want (or need?) 150mm ie. 6" of travel on a hardtail? Usually hardtail frames are designed for 80-100mm travel forks, perhaps 120mm at the extreme.
