Sell the PO. Possibly to me...
Well I've placed my order for the IWC pilot shown below, which is great apart from the 6 weeks lead time However the lead time will past soon enough. The problem is that the result will now see me with two blue dial watches in my main collection. I've spent a fair bit of time thinking about what to do, sell the PO and buy something else? but that's not proving as easy as it's sounds as the Titanium PO is by far my favourite dive watch, or change the IWC order to the standard model with the black dial, again not my preferred 1st choice, by the end of the day I might cancel all the plans and be back at square one.
Stay as you are. The IWC looks fabulous, is it a new Laureus edition?
Keep the PO (awesome) and get the IWC in black (classic)
If you flog the PO you'll miss it :)
I love the blue dial on the IWC, reminds me of my Arktis.
I only hope you van live with the date on the IWC, that ruïns it for me I'm afraid.
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
I love the colour of the dial on the Laureus ... but I'm not so keen on the day/date wheel being white. I've got no issues with the triple date thing at all... but I think it works better on the black dial with the black date wheel.
But this is nit-picking... I'm sure there's room for that Laureus as well as the PO in your watch box.
I tried that IWC on in Vegas at Christmas, it's a stunner. Unfortunately I didn't win enough to buy it!! :(
Both nice, both blue, both have sloppy date execution, IWC, silly triple window, and the Omega being cheap and not colour matching, they should have left it black on white
Keep the PO and the current order for the IWC, but buy more watches with dials of other colours, thus reducing the percentage of your collection made up of blue dials to an acceptable level. Obviously.
Can't have too much blue IMHO Both look gogeous
Speaking as somebody who has picked up 4 blue-dialled watches in the last 12 months I'm not sure I understand what the problem is (OK - one of them is going to go as it was the result of mixing late-night Ebay and gin - and, more importantly isn't a Universal Genève). I think you'd be mad to change the IWC to a black dial; how many black-dialled watches do you have?
The IWC is a great looking watch, very tasteful.
What's wrong with 2 blue-dialled watches?
I have several
Tudor 76100
Tudor Snowflake
Tudor Jumbo
Lemania (like Sinn 140)
Lorenz Lemania 5100
They're both nice, keep them both.
Blue doesn't really clash with too much, and can be just so much more interesitng than a plain black dial. I'd have more.
Dave
So tempted by that iwc little prince. Anyone know if there's somewhere in London that has one to try on?
Worse problems to have than having two beautiful blue watches. I like the IWC in blue over the traditional offering and PO in Ti only comes in blue.
Down the road, you can add a black face watch and since it seems you gravitate towards the classic pieces, a Rolex Sub could be an option if not too small for you. Blue in WG😜
Or
A Seiko GS Diver in Ti😄
You can never have too much blue, both are the best model in their range.
Blue is a difficult colour to capture and I reserve my judgement on the IWC. Some of their previous outting is too dark for my liking.
The Omega is something else!
Paul, Go for it. The blue on the IWC looks fantastic. There may be a black ceramic PO coming out so you could flip the blue PO for that one. Alternatively go for a BP FF.
Nothing wrong with the blue. And good excuse to buy another one if you do not want the blue only.
Whats the problem here?
As long as you dont wear them at the same time on the same wrist, no worries mate!
Both have a heavenly blue color. Gorgeous! Hang on to both of them, sell your house! Do what ever it takes to keep 'm!
Both amazing watches you are very lucky. I wouldn't change either of them for sure. Enjoy them both, difficult to choose a winner out of those two.
Personally, I have always leaned towards blue, either face or bezel (Sub & GMT BLNR) so I'd stick with both of your choices. I however have wavered recently for a green sub, but that's just going to confuse the issue!! I do love that PO though.
I often wear blue, and very rarely wear black so I actually prefer blue as a 'neutral' dial colour. It really pops with blue shirt cuffs or jeans, whereas black can be a bit 'dead'. I think they're both great pieces with the blue lifting them above the ordinary.
Keep the PO, looks gorgeous
I don't do Chrono's so a no brainer for me...and that PO is outstanding Paul
TWO?????!?!??!?
What on earth are you worried about? I've got about 8 blue dialed watches and the concept of 'too much blue' hasn't even entered my universe!
M.
As they're quite different style watches and stylish in their own right don't give the fact that they're both blue another thought.
Just enjoy them both.
I'm just a very naughty boy.
Good deals with- VINSTINK, kevkojak, Optimum, Omegary, seikoking, acg, SPEEDY, kfman, Card Shark, wajhart, Jot, danboy, zenomega, gaz64, minke, Mal52, Alas, norfolkngood, Sparky, rdwiow, mrteatime, gravedodger, joeytheghost, lordoftheflies, Silver Hawk, Filterlab, brooksy, marmisto, Fray Bentos, Bootsy, Harvey69, Mantisgb, bristolboozer, Jedadiah, newtohorology, Zephod, jimm1, Draygo, Raptor.

You are soon to own two of my favourite blue watches on the market, keep them both!
Both are amazing! I would keep them any day
No such thing as too much unless you cant afford some other colours!! They are both completely different to me so I would keep them both!! similarity ends at the blue theme!!
Keep them both!!
Chris
I'm sure you will get as many replies for one as the other ... personally ... I need to get some blue in my life as well ... and I prefer the PO.
If I could it would be a GO Panoroma Seventies Date:
Am sure you don't hear this sort of thing about black dials.
You have blue because you appear to like it. No harm no foul and no real need to change if it's your preferred dial colour for those two models.
You like blue so stick with it. I can see no good reason just to go for a black dial just because youv'e got a blue one already.
When I first saw this open date window style I thought it was just a fad but I've now come to genuinely like the idea for watches with a movement that doesn't snap over the date instantly. It really does have a practical use in such a scenario. I guess it is, as you say, also useful when the minute hand obscures the date window.
That said, a better solution to unclear date during date changeover might be to use a movement that does snap over the date instantly, but that's a separate issue. ;-)
