    Hello to all.
As I have been loitering around for a couple of weeks wondering what you all do for a living and admiring the watches.
I thought I had better join in.

No watches worthy of mentioning at the moment - I have not worn a watch for years but I have just about decided to change that and purchase a Rolex Submariner no date.

I am off to Paris for a long weekend and wondered if there are any dealers which will do a deal.

Welcome. Whilst I don't personally know of any dealers in Paris, a watch bought in Europe must be a better deal?

Last time I checked Paris was still in Europe - but I know what you mean there seem to be better deals from Dutch\Italian dealers.

Yes I consider myself fortunate to be able to spend this amount on a watch I have spent lees on nice cars, I may never have the opportunity again but it has rekindled an interest in watches and not all watches which I covet have to be so expensive.

The Tudor Pelagos is a very nice watch for the money and if it was not for the snob in me I would probably have that instead of the Submariner.

    Welcome aboard :-)

I've been thinking of a Pelagos since it was released, and still might get one at some point. However, have just picked up a SubC and love it. To be honest, I haven't worn anything else since buying the Sub, and I don't think that would be the case if I'd got the Pelagos ;-)

LOL - Free time is in short supply as it is with 2 kids who swim 6 days a week and a Landrover to keep on the road.

Yeah I think Timex or Lorus might be my next brand choice..

It's a very nice watch - just not quite as nice as a sub but that's reflected in the asking price nd as I said the snob in me would have to explain a Tudor where a Rolex you don't need to. If I had the Pelagos and the sub it would make a difficult choice which to wear but would I want 2 dive watches - ahh the choices...

Many thanks for all comments - seems a friendly place.

Off to bed now as we have to be up at stupid O'clock to catch eurostar - damn the wife for getting the cheap groupon deal!!

I had both...sold the Pelagos today. It was a wonderful watch, full of character and great tech but there is only one Sub...

    Hi and welcome.

All the Rolex sports are good. An extra hand with the GMT 2 C and the Fat explorer.

Well first chance to have wander around today and look at some watches a bit of an eye opener with some brands that i have never heard of and prices like monopoly money.
Went into some place that was massive had loads if different brands but the kicker was they did not have a stainless submariner, told me since Rolex announced the price increase that all Rolex dealers in Paris have sold out of submariners - what a croc.
