I'm usually no great lover of vintage Heuer save for a couple of their pieces(it's the iconoclast in me :s:)), but that Sir is a beauty and highly unusual and in fantastic condition with it. Well may you wear. *genuflects* :)

There's just something about an inner rotating bezel

Must be one of the only re-issues out there where they have stuck to the original size - 38mm diameter. Blue looks nice too.

    3 for me:

Do all of your internal diving bezels have clicks?

My LLD doesn't, I wouldn't have thought that there'd be a need for it. The indentations/clicks are there to help prevent an external bezel rotating when accidentally knocked, as long as the second crown is tightened an internal bezel won't rotate accidentally.

yeah i know what the clicks are for. i only ask as i was talking to the bloke in the bremont shop the other day and he made a big deal of the fact their internal bezel included a click, like it was some engineering masterpiece and i wondered how true that could be as my B&R also clicks (and screws down) so i wondered if it was unusual for an internal bezel to click.

The Diver seems to be a popular choice in this thread :p

I do like an inner rotating bezel, love the clean look of the Longines , and would love to add a JLC Dualmatic or Memovox to the inner rotating fold

    Currently, only one.

    Had these in the past:

    My two

    Aquastar Seatime

And unlike the earlier poster, I don't have any intention of selling my Pleamar anytime soon (only 100 ever made)

Actually, no, make that 200, mine was 153, the orignal list was extended due to over-subscription. I got in when several FdR member cancelled their orders when it became clear that it would be made in China, and the arguments started in earnest.

The above Seikos reminded me of a Japanese market only 6139-7060 I used to have. Beautiful dial colour with contrasting orange hands, the colours really popped. Must have been mad to sell it really!

Variation on a theme already in the thread, but 2nd automatic chronograph in space any good to you?

  30. #80
I've only got a couple. The first is a sturmamski, beautiful dial:

Love the "old" aquatimer too, fantastic bit of kit which always seems to attract comments:

Always liked this, only drawback was how to utilise the inner compass! Do a fair bit of walking, knowing how to use this feature properly could be very useful - Can anyone explain in simple terms!?

I have this Poljot and I love the internal bezel as a unique (to my collection) complication.

In the northern hemisphere, turn the bezel so the 'S' is halway between the hourhand and 12. Point the hour hand at the sun. Robert is now your a sibling of one of your parents and you can use the bezel as a compass.

They are indeed (rare). I see what you meant in terms of the 100. In fact, each buyer was given the choice, fecha or not. I am not sure how the numbers actually ended up, but it was relatively even, so around 100 of each would be right I guess.

Maybe that's because the Alt1 series didn't have a positive click - it was free rotating and therefore almost useless as even a brush with a shirt cuff could push it along? I don't know if they subsequently cured this? The MC Memovox has similar issue but harder to bump, at least on my wrist.
