    Thanks everyone for your support.
I will leave the opportunity to make pledges open for a while.

In the meantime , anyone that definitely wants to commit , please follow the following instructions:
    Send an email to tzuknepal@gmail.com
In the subject heading, please state your pledge number and your TZ username.
In the body of the text, please state whether you will be donating using the gift aid option or not.
Knowing in advance whether you will be using gift aid or not enables me to make the most effective use of any donations, as some of the charities have a gift aid option and some do not.

Please use the gift aid option if applicable ( UK taxpayers only ). It will make a massive amount of difference to the funds raised.

Once Tony has posted the pictures next week, I will reply to all emails individually with links for the specific charity to which your donation is to be made.
Once you have made your donation , please email me back with proof of your donation - either a screenshot, or simply forward the email confirmation of your donation from the charity.

Any questions, you can either ask in the thread or use the email address supplied above.

    Best wishes Dave

I initially said one pledge but the response to this great gesture makes me want to pledge another.

Hence another pledge (two in total) from me.

I just donated £50 to the British Red Cross Nepal Appeal, is there any chance I can enter the raffle?

Dave, sorry mate, what is the pledge number? I'm definitely in, but don't know what you're asking for here.

Sorry,no. I don't think that is fair and it would set an awkward precedent. Things are complicated enough. I hope you can understand.

If it's going to keep going I'm sure a few of us could throw in a few extra prizes for 2nd, 3rd place etc. I'm sure I'll be able to find something!

With Dave's permission, I'd like to throw this into the pot:

A new Vostok, unworn, bought directly from Zenitar in Russia on rubber strap.

Automatic movement, part of the Amphibia range and 40mm case (without crown)

Photo is just a quick one whilst I'm at my desk - there is some dust on the rubber strap but the watch has never been removed from the box and comes with all manuals (in Russian) and Vostok plastic case.

Postage to the winner will be covered by myself.

Absolutely lovely, once we have pictures of the Explorer we can collate all the photos of watches people have offered into one post.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

I will offer a prize for the raffle, provided Eddie is willing to pull a number for the FU raspberry award. It is a hideous Sturmanskie "Gagarin" franken on the cheapest and ugliest bund strap you'll ever see. I don't have any decent pics of it at the moment, will try to get some on sunday when I'm reunited with the watch. I could find one bad pic:

Postage covered by me and I'll also chuck a fiver to Eddie's fundraiser, if I'm able to get rid of it.

Great gesture. I'm in. If I win it I'll wear it all the time and grin like a silly thing! Is there a particular charity to donate to? (Sorry if I've missed it!)

With permission, I'd like to donate my unworn DLC Citizen Alticrhon to the pot.

Bought brand new on a whim at new year (I liked the color), and could do alot more good raising money than sitting in it's box since it's doubtful i'll ever wear it.

Dave, I don't have a watch to donate, but I'll happily offer to take a set of photos of somebody's favourite watch (postage and insurance on me) if you think that might make a runner's up prize. If not appropriate then just ignore me (most people do).

Tony - definitely think that's a great runners up prize. I'm sure there are numerous members who would love you to photograph one of their watches (I know I would)

Great idea ! And very kind.
