    Heads up: Bargain Seiko kinetic

£132 is a phenomenally good price for this excellent watch

    http://www.creationwatches.com/produ...atch-1235.html

Also available at Yorkshire Watches for just £205.
    Take your pick?!

Sky Watches have it at £140, so that really is a bargain.

I prefer Solar, but, as you say, great value - as are their Solar Seikos (even if the watch snobs hate quartz!).

Thanks Andrew - I have been looking for a new diver ever since my beloved Seiko mod dropped off my wrist whilst out on my motorbike a week ago

This is the first time I have ordered something from Creation so I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes!

I have used them many times Jon, and never had a problem.
Fingers crossed that you have a smooth transaction too.
I always enjoy tracking the parcel from Singapore

Had a friend order with them on Friday evening on a bank holiday and it was delivered on the Tuesday, they're pretty quick.

I highly recommend creationwatches. I ordered an SKA369 and had it arrive from Singapore in 2 days flat via DHL. Superb service.

Another + for Creation, purchased a couple of watches from the, both came within 5 days.
The only downside is if you want the original box you have to pay extra.

I can top even that - lost my SKX, ordered a new one 8.30pm Bank Holiday Sunday, was with me for noon on Tuesday. Ridiculously quick.

Got the BFK from creation a few weeks ago. Real quality watch with no issues at all. Cracking value for money too I don't know why I didn't try one sooner. I saw a review where someone did some extreme testing on one and it seemed to stand up to abuse as good as a G-Shock would. Oh and I didn't get charged any import charges either.

Does DHL not make you pay import duty on delivery? £132 is a fantastic price.

Tempting but I really dislike those horrible stumpy skeleton hands and short second hand on this watch, and Kinetic movements really don't suit my watch rotations. Still a great price though.

I have used Creation many times now and have never incurred any import tax. (Might just have been lucky)

And for the cost they are fantastic watches.

Another +1 for Creation. I ordered and the watch was with me two days later, great service. No tax, either...

I've been thinking about one of these for a while now and I think this has tipped me over the edge.
I've had a number of watches from Creation and everything has gone well except that, as a good socialist, I've always been denied the chance to pay the correct tax/duty on them.

Shame now back up to £147.

I bought a Seiko from Creation and it actually came from Japan for some reason.
    Had to pay the charges.

Are the movements the same even if the watches are kinetic?

Had mine since year 2010. Fabulous dive watch and I use it every month for its intended purchase. However, I hated the condom hands so changed them for hands from a seiko velatura rob @ monsterwatches changed the hands for me. Great value for money and very accurate. Regards. Kev

And on a bracelet which is very good quality

Prices are a little fluid presumably due to exchange rates.

    Like the hands bubblehead.

My new Seiko Kinetic arrived just after lunch and it's great. Two links removed and it's really comfortable, the second hand hits all the markers, the hybrid mechanism retains some of the auto magic and I'm looking fwd to quartz accuracy.

If I see a PVD black version at 134GBP I will order one of those too (currently 174 but not bad value at that)

Many thanks again Andrew for the heads up :)

Really like that dial and especially the applied markers, and it looks very good on that strap, IMO.

Couldn't agree more as far as the 'condom' hands are concerned - the Velatura hands look great on that. Is it fairly painless to get them changed?

One other question: How long do these run without being worn?

These are currently £145 on Creation and I'm itching to go for it.

You can, of course, always send the taxman a donation ()!

I got caught for tax on an £80 diver from creation and it languished in customs for over a month, before they would release t. Admittedly it was about my 5th purchase and all the rest were with me in under a week but it has made me think twice about ever using them again.
