Just a very quick snap on the iPhone for now, but this arrived today and I'm delighted with it. Never had a Bullhead before, and this will do very nicely!

Seiko manage to make so many of their modern designs objectionable in little ways - little details off, a little too large. But that's lovely. Go on - spoil it for me. Tell me the bezel is fixed...

    Yep, bezel is fixed.

Looking at the bright side (or OCD side if you're like me).... no need to worry about accidentally knocking it out of sinc

    Just got this 5256-5000

Hi folks. Just got this one from the Phillipines. Crystal was very scratched but got a new one from Thailand. Movement stripped, cleaned and serviced. Running like a dream now. I love these funky 70's Seikos. Not everyone's taste though!!!

Really enjoying the Tuna - especially the domed crystal's optical effects.

Very pleased with it. Think I may have knackered the bracelet already with a DIY adjustment though! Pins just fall straight out now

I had similar issues with a monster bracelet, there were little collets that held the pins in place, I lost a couple before I realised what the problem was

Luckily you can buy replacements. I once lost some of these down the back of a sofa and spent a while hunting for them with a torch and a magnet. Believe me, you don't want to see what else goes down the back of a sofa.

Tell me about it! We moved house last week and thought we had cleaned underneath the sofas properly, until the removal guys took them apart and carried them out, it was embarrassing the stuff that had accumulated in there in a few years!

I'm not sure this bracelet has the same type of pins and collets. I was looking out for that. The pins just seem to be straight pins. I might start up a new thread to assess how much I've cocked it up when I can take some more pics later. I started pushing pins out before I realised there were little arrows indicating which way to push.

You've pushed the pins out in the wrong direction. The pin would have had a slight bulge at one end and the bracelet link has the hole slighter larger on one end to accommodate the bulge. Pushing the pin out the wrong way has effectively extruded the pin but if the pin is a split pin you might be able to tweak the pin.

This is one I bought in 1985 when working in London. The alternative day display is in Arabic. Still going strong though it doesn't get any wrist time now.

    https://flic.kr/p/tEDzR3

Apologies for not getting pic to display. If someone could let me know how it's done I would be grateful.

    Thanks.

When you have a url to an image, click the little image icon when you edit a post, its icon looks a bit like a tree in a window. Paste the url into the box that appears.

    Your image's url was:
    https://farm1.staticflickr.com/305/1...79932bb6_b.jpg

I found that link by clicking your image so it opened into a new window.

there was a time when I had literally dozens of them but now im down to just 2. for me the epitome of what Seiko did and do well....

finally found a strap that wears well on it without being overbearing.

not the most worn in the collection but my personal gem.
