Sunnto make some digital watches with pretty large displays, just don't get the negative display models

You should be able to read the black text on light background more easily

I know this goes against the grain, but have you considered a sports stop watch type thingy. These are really cheap and lots of them do have large and clear digital displays.

The chaps here will be choking on their lunchtime butties when I suggest that you head to Argos rather than Goldsmiths.

I know someone (my business partner) who has one of those Brauns if it suits your needs, he bought it in a sale and never wears it and I'm sure I could get him to sell it. PM me if interested, hopefully this isn't seen as solicitation just trying to help the OP.

An excellent suggestion and they're cheap, light and have a useful range of functions. For a big watch, they're comfy too. Here's a Vector I used to have.

I bought one for running in a few years back that cost less than £30.00 and for the same reason as you, I wanted nice big numbers that I could clearly see without glasses.

Casio SGW100. Looks like a nice large display.

Some cheap UZI models on ebay for less than 20 quid, and it's a cool name (maybe).
