Dam I will have the red lol
Wow, that was quick.
I forgot to mention the famous SC words- you have to pay me what they owe me. Or something like that.
Love the black but can't get it out of my head that it looks too faux vintage.Good looking but not quite the real thing.
Blue every time
All nice but it would be blue for me I reckon (I've owned blue and red already).
I definitely am indecisive.
Any, if only they had ahem less distinctive second and hour hands <<shudder>>
Nice watchy. Me likey.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Black
Blue is too "cold" for me, Red is my least favourite colour.
I am so glad they launched the black as I have always loved the look of these but they have never been quite right to my eye. I have a Tudor watch box so really need to add one to the collection, don't I?
Hmm, I think red because "the black bay" is one of those Tudor models they are known for. It is the same (for me) as buying a Speedmaster that isnt the moon watch, i think it would bother me everytime i wore it that i didnt have the one.
Is the top/middle the Black? If so,that one as the White hands on the left are too cold.
Blue for me. Don't like the whole faux vintage stuff.
Got to be red for me. I love the way that the shade of red/burgundy changes depending on how the light catches it, and the colour of the hands/indices which is somewhere between gold & rose gold. I just find it to be such an interesting piece to look at and a favourite of mine.
I am a Tudor fanboy, but can't get around the way the lump on the second hand interacts with the hour plots on the BB. Spoils the watch for me.
Still red for me, on leather. Quite like the black though.
Got to wonder if anyone will mod the blue with the black bezel - a lot of people (myself included) preferred to Nassau to the Kingston. I guess you'd need to replace the crown thingy too... As always, until they do a midsize one, me and my skinny wrists are out!
Blue please lol
Blue every time! But the black looks good too...
I saw the blue and red in London last year and they both delivered an opposite opinion to what I was expecting. I expected to like the blue and not be too taken by the red and the opposite was true. The blue lacked something and the gold on the red really popped. However I would still not buy either of them. Then with the black, I think the gold just looks wrong and if it were silver that would be my choice.
Overall I wouldn't buy any of them but it's down to my taste rather than them not being a great watch. When they pop up on SC for around £1,400 they do represent pretty good value.
Now the Pelagos.... That's a nice watch. I think I'll get one of the older 2-liners at some point.
None of them! Sorry but the more I look at the 'Black bay' the more I dislike those hands. Much prefer the vintage Tudors - especially with the lollipop hands.
Still would be a bit boring if we all liked the same things. I'm glad you like them enough to buy all three! Enjoy!
It would have to be blue for me, as I just don't like the gold on the hands a face of the red and black version. If I was in the market for a Tudor though I would go for the Pelagos. It's just more my taste and I would want a date. Having said that I have no doubt the Black Bay is a great watch, whichever colour you choose. They're certainly popular and used ones on SC never seem to hang around too long.
Yet to try one on but I'm not really keen on any of them. Don't like the shade of red they use, the blue one just looks dull and the black seems too faux vintage as mentioned by another poster.
I want to like them but always end up thinking 'Just by a Sub!'
Re:

Is NOT an alternative to 'bying' a Sub
The gilt dials/ gold markers/handsets are not really faux vintage as people think. They do create a vintage feel but faux vintage is like the lume on Omega SM300.
Can I choose none and take the cash equivalent instead?
A submariner is 2.5 times the price and isn't the same sort of thing as a Black Bay, which is a retro-ish design, a bit more fun, less monochrome. Even the black bezel version has gold hands and dial, and a red triangle.
My order is blue>red>black although between black and red is marginal.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
Swapped a Red for a Black, so I guess it's Black > Red > Blue for me.
Pelagos first for the square indices and matt bezel, then red, blue , black. Just love the passion of buying all three, they look great together!!!
Black all day long for me.
It has to be blue for me, I don't like the gold hands on the black and red.
I like all three - best send them to me for a week and let me make a first-hand decision!
I love blue on a dial or bezel normally, but on the Tudor the reddy burgundy has it for me.
Red. Definately red.
...and not just because the bezel is not aligned. :-)
Blue please
Well i was dead against this watch at the beginning of the week but got to see one in the metal yesterday and I'm impressed so after an unsatisfactory outcome with my insurance company (details in another thread) I've ordered the red one on a bracelet today, I should have it on Saturday. Also ordered a distressed brown leather Nato style strap from Yellowdog for it. Looking forward to receiving it.
Still not going to give up on the Speedy tho.
Just put the black back in the watch box and wearing the blue today. It shows Tudor have done well when a few of us have the same watch in different colours.
