    Incoming - SKX007

Took the advice from many of you on here and picked up the SKX007 as an entry into the world of REAL watches. For such little money, it seems a great purchase!

Now I must keep looking for my next one!! :D

A great solid start on the road to collecting. It'll be ticking strongly long down the road.

I had one and loved it, but the case geometry wasn't right for my wrist and the crown guard was uncomfortable. Brilliant watch for the money, though.

I've read conflicting reports that the SKX007 is being discontinued to make way for the new Seiko diver, seems sad if so.

Happy with mine for sure.. my only advice would be not to get the bracelet version (apparently its not very good). I went for the leather version and a bunch of nato straps.

Thanks for the link, I, or shall I say the wife, was going to buy it from creation as well. But to be honest I don't like the jubilee, rubber or leather. I think the rubber is the cheapest, £112, so I'll get that one with a couple of NATOs.
I need to stop looking at skx007 topics for the next month and a half...

    Makes absolute sense.

I wasn't expecting much from the leather - but its actually not too bad. But I have no doubt I will keep mine on Nato's going forward.

    I have 5 on the way :D

They're great watches, but personally I don't think nato or leather straps do them justice. I'd look for either a W Jean Super Oyster or a flat-vent Seiko z22 which was designed for it and makes it much more practical.

IMHO its an 'iconic, watch with a huge fan base, myself included, and you won't regret it one bit.

They do wear fantastic on NATO and Seiko rubber(flat vent) but when you put it on an AM bracelet, Wjean, Strapcode, Yobokies, you get the feeling that you're wearing a watch from a much higher price point.

    Just my two penneth!

    Enjoy

    Indeed sir!

Everyday I logon I am learning new things.

My next purchase I think will be a dress watch, something I can wear comfortably at work day to day under a double cuff.

Currently thinking a Vintage Omega or a Speedmaster reduced.

Also- pretty sure I'll be getting a Orient Bambino also as another "cheap and cheerful" to couple the SKX.

Wonderful watches! I have owned much more expensive watches but the Skx's put a big smile on my face

Are they perfect? Not at all, but everything about them has a charm, i agree though a strapcode bracelet makes a huge difference

I love these. Especially the case shape and finishes and the cool matt grey dial.

You can 'hack' the non hacking movement by gently turning the crown back. With practice you can set it to the second to measure its accuracy.
