    Monza re-edition

Took delivery of my Monza purchased from Osh this week, I have always had a soft spot for this watch due to its softer edges and cushion shape. I seemed to have bonded with it right away its very comfortable and wears just right on my 7" wrist. If there is a negative its seems small but I think that's me being paranoid, as it as become the smallest watch in my modest collection. Anyways here a few pics.

    Thanks For Looking Paul

    These modern/classic Heuers are lovely.

Massive fan of this, the Silverstone and the Monaco.

Lovely watch. The best version IMO. I've allways fancied one but found them a little small on my wrist.

I'm looking forward to see what they are doing with the 2016 monza release.

I to always thought anything below 40mm was to small, but since buying a Explorer 1 39mm last year I have had a change of mind, the Monza wears quite large with the pushers and crown, mind you when I put my PO 46mm they tend to look small.

That looks great and definitely not too small on your wrists. It looks spot on to me.

How tall is it, if you don't mind me asking?

Oops, sorry, I wasn't very clear. I meant how thick/slim is the watch, to get an idea of how it would sit on the wrist and whether it would slide under a cuff easily.

The 43mm lug-to-lug length is useful to know though!

Doesn't look too small at all on you. And dropping the Tag adds value IMO

It's all about the brand* - you know that :)

    * In this case, it is. Zero intrinsic or measureable change to any other component, made by the same people. But stop the dial printing machine before it drops that last microgram of ink in the shape of a "TAG", and...
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

It certainly looks better in my eyes without the Tag monogram especially the clasp, but as said add value No

I think this Heuer re-edition was limited to 2000 pieces, before the name Monza went over the Tag Heuer shield for the next edition

    I like the Monza.

It always quite amuses me that people say "under xmm is too small" because different styles of watches can look so different on the wrist.

Maybe it looks better to wis types who have an issue with Tag Heuer, who make up a tiny amount of the market...... (And most of which seem to reside on this forum lol) but in the greater atmosphere of normal people, the tag Heuer shield is more recognisable and more popular so I'm sure it evens out!

Looking on eBay they seem to fetch a similar amount...,.

Always liked both the Monaco and the Monza. I found the Monza a bit more wearable on my small wrist. I preferred the look of the applied arabics on the Calibre 36 model though (and the lovely display back).

I much prefer the softer edges of the Monza over the sharpe angular edges of the Monaco which is just to square. I have done a couple of deals for my ex son in law and present son in law who both wanted Monaco's they were with me for a couple of weeks but could never grow to love them, although I can see the attraction.

Lovely watch, it's about the only modern Heuer that I would consider buying.
