    Sea Dweller D Blue dial

    Guys,

I don't know an awful lot about Rolex, but I am keen on the Sea Dweller D blue dial with green accent.
I have large hands and wrists and I like large watches so at 44mm it will fit the bill.

I have noticed that at watchfinder the used value is some £1000 more than the list price!

Is the D Blue dial that much more valuable than the std black dial?

    What am I missing ?

The 'D' is too short for a search term, so I'd try something like 'blue deepsea', or 'blue dssd', perhaps the addition of 'cameron' will bring up a few results too.

    Howzit Dr Hex,

Just starting, so keen to learn. Not been a huge Rolex fan as I've always found their offerings too small for me. I do have a JLC, Panerai & Omega, that are 44mm+ so was quite interested in a 44mm Rolex.

A good variety then. Had a couple of POs and a PAM24 in the past. All good watches but too ungainly for me.

Welcome. Which JLC do you have?

The £1k over list is what the market will bear; you're not missing anything!

I had one for a short time and was very, very sad to part with it. I'll certainly have another, it looks and feels totally different to any other Rolex. Worth the extra money over the standard model (which can be found a smudge over £5k) of course not. But this hobby isn't about value for money!

Try one on, and don't forget the Rubber B strap option!

This sort of thing. No Rolex has ever suited a rubber strap so well.
