Anyone know anything about them? - good bad or whatever.
I know someone who is considering buying one as a present for a girl and ...............any knowledge would be useful since i know nothing about them - I think they are 80-100£.
Thanks
Brian
My daughter has one - loves it.
Very popular with teenage girls.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Hahahahhhaahahha,
Fur coat and no knickers, sorry that's purely my perception, as far as I can tell its the current
''on trend'' fashion brand.
I bought one for my niece for her 21st , it's not my cup of tea but the younger gen love the brand
IMHO there are other watches I would buy for the money
They are made by Fossil. As are Burberry, DKNY, Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange, Columbia Sportswear, Diesel, Frank Gehry, Karl Lagerfeld, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Callaway Golf, Davis Cup, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Skagen Designs, Michele and Adidas.
I guess the insides are all pretty generic.
Didn't know they were made by Fossil.
Echoing the above comments - do it. They're very popular and a lot of women like them. My wife's was over £200 though! She does love it, and her mother has one.
It's a fashion watch, my wife has one as does her sister. As a fashion watch they aren't built to last my wife's works fine after 4 years but looks a bit tatty now. Find the one you like then google for prices Amazon normally have them a bit cheaper.
Indeed if the person wants it it makes an ideal present.
The fact that you started this thread in the G&D rather than WT speaks for itself though ;) (I bet you've considered BR for a second )
Fas est ab hoste doceri
Bit of a buzz brand amongst the young at the moment, but I do see it dying off soon.
Go to Bicester they have a MK shop
They're loads cheaper in there
Saying that my sister has one and the crystals have come out of the bezel
She only wears it for best too
Awaiting their cust services
It's gone back to fossil
Both my girls have chronos- to be fair the build quality is not too bad- they have had them for about 2 years and still in good shape
The wife wanted one.
I thought I knew best so bought her a proper watch, a two tone midsized Datejust.
She bought herself a Michael Kors.
I agree with this but I had to laugh (at myself the other day).
I was sitting next to a work mate of mine waiting for a large meeting to start. My mate and I were discussing another chap at work who has one of the large IWC Pilots Chronographs.
A young lady sitting across from us overheard and said we should speak with another lady colleague of ours as 'she is really into good watches, she just bought a Michael Kors watch'.
Does Fossil actually make watches, as in, in a factory they own? I'd always assumed that they were sourced from wherever, and that there wasn't a Fossil watch factory as such.
My wife has one it's really very nice. I know what it is but she doesn't care, she loves it.
Echo all of the above. Fashion brand label on a basic quartz-movement watch. Every second under-30 lady has one. They don't look bad to be fair but, obviously, aren't of much interest to 'watch' people.
My missus has had one for around 3 years for daily/beater duties and it has held up pretty well although the chrono function did die after 1 year.
It mostly sits in a drawer now as she has a Baby G which is favoured for daily duties.

I stock the MK brand and sell ALOT. They are very popular with the ladies but funny enough we sold a large rose gold stone set model to an elderly gentleman yesterday!
They've just released a new Michael Kors smartwatch which is actually pretty cool

TAG Heuer have their critics on here but it saddens me greatly to see the once epic team McLaren garages with Michael Kors signage.....
At least Heuer had F1 history and some justified connection....
Can you see Senna with a Michael Kors on his wrist?
Hey guys the good thing is if SWMBO doesn't want a proper watch (mine does) more cash for you to spend on new timepieces.... every silver lining etc.....
No....you know I don't think he would've ....

It doesn't surprise me that you sell a lot of them Alex. Owning something by the brand is an aspiration for many people and, for many in the general population, are classed as a high end brand, more so with the bags obviously but increasingly with their watches. My wife has a rose gold one and it's really rather nice.
What annoys me is when the stuck-up pretentious lot on here get on about them, looking down, sneering at those who think they're a high end brand.
I think the success of the MK brand is that it's position in the market has been perfectly thought through and implemented - high-end enough to be the aspiration of many, expensive enough to be out of the reach of many hence retaining a certain exclusivity and actually, the products are of good quality and provide value for money.

Slightly different to your average Michael Kors watch, but an enlightening review

They appear to know their target market very well.
you're right it's for clothing and as a *cough* lifestyle partner...

RM is of course a far better fit than MK but personally I don't think that's not a good pairing with McLaren either....
they are not my cup of tea but I learned a long time ago you should by her what she wants to have, not what you want to buy.
luckily my bird likes breitlings.
bugger.
