Buy a Rolex - Get a Happy Wife

Hi folks, a few weeks ago I took the plunge and bought a lovely Air King from Mart Broad on here. This was to be a present for my Wife's up and coming 50th Birthday.

My wife and I were talking a while ago about what she might want for a present, her suggestion was a Cartier Tank. I went into the Argyll arcade to buy one but couldn't see anything that was suitable.

I took a chance on the Air king and gave it to her this weekend, I'm very glad I did, she is over the moon and was VERY surprised. It suits her down to the ground and has been on her wrist all weekend.

Cheers guys. My time spent here made it a pretty easy decision but I still had the 'what if she doesn't like it' moment.

Glad she likes it SWMBO was not wearing the watch ( over indulged) so your purchase was turned into new carpet

This thread title is misleading, If I went out and bough a Rolex my wife would not be happy! Even if it was for her.

Glad your wife likes the watch though, it's a good choice.

Ouch! I'll keep my eye on her, I've had to convince her it's perfectly fine to wear it everyday and she doesn't have to baby it. She is of the opinion that if it says Rolex it must have cost a fortune and should wrapped in cotton wool.

Then keep the lovely lady thinking that and it will all be cooler than Kool and the Gang..
