They say BMW drivers get some flack

    But this one really did.

Peshmerga fighter Ako Abdulrahman saves 70 people from ISIS by driving them to safety in his bulletproof BMW

    It's a great story.

Snatch BMW that's a new one, how easy is it to buy a bulletproof car on a budget?

Every 'what car/people carrier/suv/4x4' thread on here, pistonheads etc - someone will suggest an MX5 as being the ideal car, if if totally inappropriate...

Not really. A lot of of our vehicles come from these people and, in a previous life, I used to sign off the invoices. Not much change out of £100k if I remember correctly (and that was 15 years ago).

Significantly higher now, not only inflation but demand.

You see a lot of these about in middle east cities and out in the suburbs too, invariably Toyota SUV's or pick-ups and invariably black or white.

Land Rovers, not so much. ;-)

And yet for a hairdresser an SUV is much more appropriate...

My wife's hairdresser has a Land Rover!
