The Longines just looks namby-pamby with a flashy bezel![/QUOTE]
Oh No! To me, that Longines is the best looking watch ever! Yes, I mean ever!

I am a Breitling fan, but I must admit this looks extremely ugly.
Of course if you like it, buy it, it's your money. But don't expect us to tell you it looks amazing, coz it doesn't ;-)
I am a huge Breitling fan...but that's hideous.
I still like it.
One thing you can glean from this OP; if you want to flip it you'll really struggle...
Too busy and a very high possibility of tiring of the design fairly quickly. Just get an original Navitimer mate
P.S. The Longines looks very cool in comparison.
That Breitling is funky. In a good way.
Would you get tired of it? Possible but you will never know unless you try it.
The Longines is a classier piece and would be my choice for a red bezel watch.
Here is a moody pic I took of it.

Listen to your wife. It's ugly, even for a Breitling.
Help, here you go.....
That should cure your red bezel infatuation;)

Yep, Chronospace, basically a beefed up Navitimer as it's water-resistant to 100mts, so takes the worry out of a swim in the pool or climates with high humidity. The thing most people comment on is the scalloped bezel which makes the watch quite distinct from the Navi' family. It also has a more smooth contour casewise & the lugs have a nice downward swoop so it fits really nicely on my wrist in spite of its 46mm diameter. It's now on a camel croc' with polished deployant & it looks even more stunning now. Will post a pic' soon when I can get round to it.
Going back to the OP, I do really like the now discontinued Skyracer, but the red bezel really lets this particular iteration down, it really does look cheap IMHO. Personally I would go for either the white/blue/grey dial with SS bezel and matched with a nice breitling calf strap. Another nice feature is the integrated mins/hours sub-dial a la Omega PO chrono, a few other manufacturers could use this style of totalizing and make the dial less cluttered, which would suit some watches if you need 12/24 hours as opposed to just 30 min' say.
I agree with most of the other comments on this thread. It's the bezel which makes the watch look odd.

I'm sorry to say that your wife is correct about this one...
