    Rolex folded bracelet refurb question

My 1968 5513 has a folded bracelet and its showing signs of its long life on the wrist, lots of slack and wear between the links. I dont want to replace it so can anybody suggest a specialist who can bring it back to good condition?

    Thanks Keith

Michael Young has done a few bracelets for me in the past. Communication not the best but the work was fantastic.

Takes a very long time to turn things around though. Had one of my pieces for well over the estimated time...!

I`ve never met him or had dealings with the guy, but his reputation is excellent. As far as I know he's the only guy in the UK who fully restores Rolex bracelets to get rid of the stretch problem. If he's working as a one man band I`m sure he'll have a high workload so it's likely he'll have long turnround times on jobs. Refinishing/restoration of cases and bracelets takes time, people often fail to grasp that.

I`m surprised more people don`t try getting into this type of work, it's an ideal second career for anyone who's retired early and likes watches. The skills can be learned if you've got the aptitude (some have, some haven`t).......but there are far easier ways to make money.
