Does this look right? - Rolex Sub on eBay

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-Subm...AAAOSwLaZZtTy9

Does this look right? Particularly the date window doesn't look "magnified enough" to me

Apart from Stevie Wonder's stab at reluming and some play in the bracelet.....I see nothing to indicate the watch is incorrect.

And hey the sellers bought 12 items this year,

Why would a 16610 even need a relume? Perhaps goes to show only us weirdos like tritium?

Why? There are plenty of honest watches on eBay and PayPal (where available) offers good levels of buyer protection. I've bought many watches on eBay without issue.

To me it looks more like a 6/10 condition where as he is quoting 8/10. Doesn't look terrible to my eye however and I don't think dodgy

My best guess is that the dial has had water damage. The lume starts to pop and seep out of the indexes. Based on the photo’s, I would rule out a relume.

Yes, blooming lume not uncommon — I see it surprisingly often in the new index batons that Rolex have used in the last decade or so.

I recently bought a mint Tudor 79090 off eBay for a great price. As long as you protect yourself (pay via paypal, ebay money back guarantee, get the watch checked out properly etc), there's no reason why you can't buy a decent watch on fleabay. If it's too good to be true, if the seller only wants bank transfer/cash etc then use some common sense and walk away.

So it went for £19.... to me!

I have a colleague who wears fake Rolex, Omega and Panerai watches... he thinks people can't tell the different so I thought this would make a nice Christmas present for him!

He has told me his are "Grade A Replica's".... which is presumably a standard/quality stamp issued by the institute of advanced fakery, perhaps. I wonder what grade that one is?

Brilliant! Although you should then destroy it in front of him!

I'd like to destroy some of his other watches, too!

You've been ripped off. It's not even worth £10 for a joke. I'd say the seller and your colleague are the winners.

add to that if the seller won't send a photo with the serial on the watch matching the paperwork next to a newspaper with the current date on it then walk away
also inside caseback and movement shot wouldn't be a miss

but if you feel it doesnt look right then walk way always trust your instinct when you look at so many watches all day

Worth £19 to me for the joke, but eBay have cancelled the transaction anyway.
