I have a Cascio solar power watch. But it has no display other than the thin lines used to divide up the screen.
I have it in the sun for a few days and nothing. Is this dead? Or am I missing something?
Thanks!
Even solar charged batteries, which are essentially rechargeables, can die due to fault, age or lack of charge, especially if allowed to run down for a prolonged period. If you have left it in bright sun, not behind a window is best, for a couple of days, it sounds like you will need to replace the battery. Casio for example use CTL1616 rechargeable batteries in some of their G-Shocks.
What model is the watch and how old is it, has it been in storage for a while?
