Do you know if you have to have the blue tooth enabled to have the date like that? Or can you just do it manually on the watch itself?
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Also explains why some of us have little choice but to pay a premium on the likes of e-bay - or do without.

It can be set directly through the watch.

Yeah, I don't mind how I set it just it being one of the new Bluetooth models lets me know DDMM is possible.

    Thanks!
I really like the so called step tracker.
Very comfy strap and not too big

Recently had the pleasure to have my GWF-D1000-1 signed by Mr. Satoshi Tanida, the man behind the Frogman model/design.

Him and a small team from Casio JP were in town for a few days and he was kind enough to oblige to what most likely seemed to be a very strange request to sign a watch, I think he did not want to ”destroy” the watch by writing too much on it...

It will be put aside now and a new wearer has arrived to fill its place in the daily rotation.

    My G-9300

Excellent G-Shock, wears very well considering the size and the mudman buttons are excellent.

I like that one Ian, with the clear red colour. A lot lighter than the 30th anniversary Rising Red that you sold to me. I nearly flipped it, but it has grown on me so I will keep it now.

So which model is yours and any story attached to it. If you ever feel the need to move it on

Its a new DW-5600-1VER to which Ive fitted a new orange jelly bezel and strap bought from a chap in Canada

The strap is nice and comfy with a softer feel to it than the original - not as rubbery as a GW-5000 though.

A fun exercise but Im not sure whether I will wear it much

Did the Carnaby Street store get the Kolor limited edition in yesterday and was anyone lucky enough to get one?

New arrival today. It is a little bright to say the least and might take a bit of getting used to, but fits the bill as a perfect heatwave watch.

Glad you got one Ken, it really is a fresh look in white and very summer, looks great on a tanned wrist but probably not so good in January where it blends in to my pasty white skin tone :)

You must have just about every colour now? reminds me of your Orient Mako collection/obsession :)

Your watch journey has been so interesting to observe this last few years, well done mate constantly jealous

Im currently looking for a greenyblue or orange gba800 if anyone has one for sale?

    Thanks Dave

    No, based at EGPE.
The watch and the patch are actually on two different people!
The pilot confessed that he was wearing an old patch, as he is now the Chief Pilot on the S92 (2 based here).

You should definitely go for it.
I have owned several over the years, but they had all been moved on. However, I recently bought two, and absolutely loving them again.

Reverse display is an issue, which definitely narrows the field!
In any case, I'm trying to narrow down the Gs. I think i only have two left now, with another incoming, which is fairly sensible and id like to keep it that way!

Have a black gba 800 incoming. Would probably chop that in if another colour turns up!!
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Thanks Craig. I think getting my first G Shock, the 35th anniversary silver full metal was a kind of revelation. When I did that mini review on it I suggested that it could be the only Watch you need. Well certainly the only type of watch you need as I have now sold off all my 'normal' watches including the Omega Speedmaster Moonphase and the Smiths Radio Room and used the money to pick up other models in the range.

Although there are loads of different models in this thread, I personally like the solar squares that are linked to something that regulates them. The Bluetooth facility is fun, but not an essential.

On the colours, it is a case of buying what looks interesting or a bit of fun. I bought Ian's 30th anniversary Red and liked the look of the White from images on here. The 30th anniversary Yellow also appeals if I can find one for sale.

It is great to be able to chop and change on a daily basis by simply popping them on the wrist.

Yes, similarities to the Mako collection indeed, only they needed to be set up each time.

All good fun, which is what it should be

Ah, Inverness! I'm at Prestwick, sadly not rotary (although I have an hour on a Squirrel). I have to make do with simulated spaceplanes nowadays. To get back on topic: very cool G-Shock! :)

Yes, the reverse dial is always much easier to read in bright light.
Fortunately the GX-56 is also available as a positive display, which is what my other one is.

I saw that Mark. You could go on e-bay.co.uk right now and buy all three for around £4.5k - so I think the US seller is asking too much.

That certainly does look different Ian and all the better for being on a 3159.

Are you going to keep this one? - under no circumstances sell it to me

I'll make do hunting for a 30th anniversary Lightning Yellow to go with the Rising Red.

That looks fantastic. Wonder how the transparent jelly would wear over time. Shame the module isn't transparent too, imagine a skeleton G Shock!

If it does ever become scruffy, it would be receptive to dying and would probably take whatever colour Mr. V wished to try.

    Hi all
    First post so be gentle!
Really like the GG-1000 and see that eBay is full of them around the £145 mark
Are these legit and not copies?
    Cheers TIA
