Another polarizing brand but another icon.

Next up from my small collection is the Monaco calibre 11.
Tag have made some awful watches.
    (Mohammed ali anyone)
Though the Monaco to me has a great heritage and story.
This is the vintage reissue which whilst it wears large if you can manage not to smack it's corners into things looks great dressed up or down.
    Again perhaps marmite to many.

Love the style and design, hate the size. Shrunk 20% and it'd be a must buy.

I like the look of this watch and the size is good for me (my wrist circumference isn’t huge, but it’s fairly flat and has a big hand hanging off it).

The only thing is, I don’t think I could buy a Monaco like this unless I already had the blue dial.

Looks very nice is that the original watch strap or an aftermarket one? I think it would look better on an all black strap personally. Doesnt look too big either looks about right.

I like it. It’s just the size that puts me off.

Strap is one I picked up to go with the orange detail.
Original strap is black sports leather with deployment.
I chose this one as the blue dial version is more popular and wanted the iconic shape but something a little more unusual.

If u like the shape try the Monza as it's smaller but still a square ish watch.

    Iconic
    Lovely
    Well built

But sadly wears far too big for me

I like it, nice colour scheme.

I'll admit to being really interested in what's number 1 on your to do list.

I like it a lot. Very smart.
What are you planning on doing with Scotland though?

I've always favoured the plain white on black Heuer marked Monaco.

There was a time when I was very seriously considering buying one, but somehow the urge has faded, but I totally agree, it's an icon!

Love the Calibre 11 Monaco. They are bold, but wear great.

What alterations did you have to make to the Stowa metal bracelet and do you have a ref no?

Like the grey fabric strap, what brand is it?

I have a Heuer Monaco reissue, blackface. Love the watch but the original leather strap is now past it's best...

    Gets a from me.

I like the silver dial contrasting against the grey sub-dials. And the orange lume just stands out beautifully. The whole dial looks very legible to my eyes.

    I like very much.

    ..
The end pieces fit nicely but need to file slots in the underside for spring bar removal, I bought as close as I could find generic bracelet to the stowa and used the unbranded clasp, I had to drill a bigger hole through the stowa links to allow figment, bit of a faff but I like it.

I walked into Selfridges years ago, ready to buy my ‘grail’ Tag Monaco in the Gulf Racing colours. Walked out with the money still in my account, after strapping it to my 6.5” wrist. Looked like I’d nailed a TV to my arm...

It’s almost worth getting fat for: https://goo.gl/images/BnAixH

Love the dial. Shame I don’t think I could pull off that size though!
