Thread: Red Wing Engineer Boots?

    Red Wing Engineer Boots?

I know Red Wing Moc Toe boots are popular on here but anyone got a pair of their Engineer or even Peco (cowboy style) boots?

Or alternative recommended brands in this style?

Had a pair of the suede engineers with the vibram sole which I loved and they were supremely comfy once worn in, they had an argument with a dog...which the dog won. From memory I think I went half a size down but I couldn’t be sure, I have tried the pecos on but found the toe box a little narrow. Chippewa and Pistolero both do well priced iterations of them but if you are feeling spendy then Viberg or Brian at Role Club will make a pair for you. If you wanted to stay in the uk then Felix Jouanneau has made pairs in the past.

I've got pairs from both White's and Wesco, however my favorite pair are my John Lofgren's. Pricey but worth every penny imo.

Pecos are nice boots very hard wearing, what size would you be looking for? They do come in different widths too.

I bought a pair of the blundstone chisel toe as an impulse buy look a bit smarter than their standard ones, they’re hardly off my feet they’re superb very comfy and much lighter than I expected, these are the ones I bought

About 6 months old now and I’d happily buy another.

Not sure (well certain!) my budget will stretch that far but they do look great. Good website for other stuff too, thanks!

Either 10 or 10.5, why do you ask? Didn't know about different widths (and I've quite wide feet), no mention on the Red Wing London site.

There is a little work wear place round the corner, and they had a few pairs of Pecos boots on sale. It was a while ago, but I'll check it out see if they have any left. 😃

They where perfect out of the box to be honest maybe a little tight getting on and off at first but actually wearing them was never an issue they’re more like a short suede than leather, I bought a half size up as it’s extra width rather than length Im normally a 9 so bought a 9.5 perfect fit for me.
