    Oxo Cubes..

I've been struggling to peel the foil off these for decades!

Now I find out that your supposed at squash the cubes into sachets..

Makes perfect sense, and also eliminates the need for crumbling!

This deserves its own thread - life hacks. Like starting a camp fire in the rain using steel wool and a battery

Good grief! I remember being told by mum to add the oxo cubes to the gravy and stir.... Are there instructions on the pack?

Ahhhh. Another would be the hole in a fizzy drink ringpull. Meant for a straw so it doesn’t float up

If I recall correctly, some m*lf on an old TV ad was shown crumbling an OXO cube directly into a pot. No sachets were involved.

If you trawl through the bins at McDonald's for old receipts, you can find a code that gives you a Big Mac for £1.99 after you complete an online survey that takes about 20 minutes.

Don't change it on my behalf but when i first heard the term on Radio 2 i thought what the hell are they talking about.

Some research shows the term was probably only first used in America in 2004 by IT/Computer geeks who try to be trendy.i.e surfing the net when really they are boring people sat behind a desk.(Sorry to any TZ IT/Computer geeks)

Last rant of the day...going to lie down in a dark room and increase my meds...

That's because when Linda was crumbling them they came in a folded foil pack as opposed to a sealed one.

presumably because vegans lack the strength to squash them.

You mean the 15 litres of beef bones, water, fresh herbs and veg I cooked up over the course of 12 hours last week and then filtered a few times and reduced to around three quarters of a pint and froze for making gravy, sauces and things like bolognese sauce was just a complete waste of time?

I am amazed you have all survived so long without working the Oxo trick out for yourselves.

Not much lateral thinking going on....

Next you will be saying you didn't realise garlic peels easier if you hit it first.
