I like the "Resarch" Frogman, S.L - some nice details and a really striking colour combination.

I'm pleased to say I now have a positive display GMW-B5000, so I shall try that with the camouflage titanium bezel/bracelet set and see how it looks.

This acquisition also means I have a spare steel bezel and bracelet: perfect for a Cerakote experiment...

Congrats, congrats @S.L. but wow that took you awhile :-( You ordered it prior release if i remember correctly ...

    Thanks T!
The first one I ordered (immediately upon release) was sourced by a friend living in Japan and is still there with him since his travel plans changed and he has not had the opportunity to visit Sweden since (and I don’t want to pester him with posting it).

Just before that watch was ordered I expressed interest through another channel, which at the time deemed it very unlikely that they could help me out given Casios distribution policy for ”JDM” models. But the other day I received word that two of these had surprisingly arrived so I picked them up and will be passing one on to a fellow WIS today.

Sometime before the summer I guess the original one from my friend in Japan will be delivered and then I will probably look to find a new home for that one (one of each D1000 model is enough I keep telling myself ).

I have the same model in red with black dial. I do like that colour combo though!

I have the red version too - very nice

The orange on the majority of the dial is much more metallic than it appears in the photo.
I tried to capture the true effect, but alas it defeated me.

I only have my phone camera, it's a pretty good camera as far as it goes but quite often catching a colour correctly is impossible.

Yes, I totally understand. Mine was taken with my phone too.
Perhaps if I use my camera, I may achieve a more realistic result.

Arrived this afternoon. Replaced my DW5600 with a GA2100, couldn’t get on with the Casioak so flipped it and ordered this - the upgrade I should’ve made in the first place. £90, next day delivery, can’t go wrong.

If I could have anyone’s collection from TZ-UK it’d have to be S.L’s.

The G’s and tunas alone would do.

The MRGs are fantastic, though not sure I’d wear the hammered gold one :)

I’m trying not to think of the rare/vintage/now impossible to get G shocks I’ve had and sold over the years

These are out of stock pretty much everywhere, and £199. £128 here and still a few left.

On the biggest China stuff portal starting with A and ending with express :-)
(I'm not sure if putting links for that kind of parts is in a good taste here).

    Thank you!
Have been downsizing Tuna collection, not so many left now.

    MRG-G1000B today,

(the ’gold’ one would win you over IRL I’m sure!)

Well, I finally married a positive display module to the titanium bezel and bracelet. I quite like it!

The spare steel bezel and bracelet I have will soon be off to Tempus for a custom Cerakote job which will, I hope, complete the set.

I’m not sure TBH - I took a positive display all-steel watch in part trade for an MT-G. I wanted a spare bracelet and bezel for Project Cerakote, so it all worked out rather nicely.

I emailed the parts department of Casio in UK and they sent me a positive module to put in my GX56 (king) no trouble at all . Just ask for the correct part number.

Not the best photo, but this DW-5600MS has lasted me over 4 years of tough work with barely a mark on it!
