    Tradition or modern..........bicycle content

Been thinking of getting an electric Bike for a while now, possibly an e-Brompton as I already have a standard one and this arrived for me to try this afternoon.

Not having ridden an e-bike of any description I have to say I was very impressed, nothing to compare it against of course.

Did a little 4 mile route I know well with a couple of hills and it was a revelation, breezed up them without a care in the world.

Im sold on the whole e-bike concept but probably not the Gocycle, as pretty as it is.
    Cheers,

    Ben

How heavy is it? Not sure the value of a folding electric bike...

While cool and modern the Go Cycle highlights the beauty of the Brompton imo. Would you be tempted to look at a Swytch Bike conversion kit for your current Brompton? Never used but keep seeing adverts.

Beauty of the Brompton is a phrase I'm struggling with.

    Yeah me too 🤔
Especially with a saddle that'll weigh as much as the bike 😳

Just looked those up, seems a bit of a faff to fit as lots of reports the front wheel does not properly and some filing down of parts is needed.

No price either on their site, just get you to register interest.

    Im out.

No mudguards, no rack for a £2k commuter bike...
I think they are a really clever thing, and have become iconic.

But for me they are only a train commuter’s bike, and a fairly rich one too.

Fair, I hadn't looked into it but all that nonsense and no price = no thanks. Completely agree.
